Tuesday, January 16, 2001 Today's show set the stage for Chris and Emily to continue
investigating Henry, with Holden's help. Emily is working in the Intruder office when Henry walks
in. "Good morning! You two arrive early, or sleep over?"
Looking around the office he observes, "Well, the boy toy is not evident,
how odd. Trouble in paradise?" Chris walks in, talking about a
story. Emily tells him to give all of his notes to Ernie. Chris is
upset because he wants to write the story himself, but Emily insists. They
both seem upset and uncomfortable with each other. After watching this
exchange Henry says, "My, my, seems the two lovebirds have gone to their
neutral corners in the cage. Anyone for round two? Ding, ding,
ding!" Emily and Chris pounce on him, telling him to stop, saying
there's nothing going on. "Such umbrage! Which proves my point rather
nicely. I cautioned you two about launching this little romantic liaison,
and now that you've had a tiff, it's up to me to navigate the minefield that our
workplace has become. Mr. Montgomery will be most displeased."
Henry leaves the office.
