On Friday's episode Jack "invited" Henry and Mike to the station and asked them into the interrogation room.  Today Henry is already in the interrogation room and Mike and Jack are talking right outside.  Mike asks Jack if this is really necessary.  Jack says he just wants to clear things up and make sure this isn't "the tip of some really weird iceberg."  He asks Mike if he has a problem with that, so of course Mike says no and they go into the interrogation room.  "This room is so depressing," says Henry, "Have you guys ever thought of some upholstery?"  Jack is not amused and tells them both to sit down.  He asks Henry what's going on, is he making trouble for Mike, is that why Mike tried to rearrange his face?  Henry tells Jack to ask Mike, and Mike agrees to tell Jack the whole story.

Mike explains that Henry broke into Molly's apartment and stole a cancelled check.  Henry protests that that was never proven.  Jack says he heard about that, and could investigate it.  Henry again protests, saying nothing was stolen, Molly just had a check out of order and tried to blame it on him.  Jack explains that even if he didn't steal anything, it's still breaking and entering.  Henry says he came here under his own free will, doesn't that count for anything?  Jack assures Henry they'll take that into account, but tells him he is under arrest.  Henry says this was all water under the bridge until Mike brought it all up again.  "Do you want to know why he went after me?  I'll tell you everything," says Henry, looking at Mike pointedly.

"I'm all ears, Henry.  This better be good," says Jack.  "Well, how should I begin?  Hmmm, let's see, I was hired..." begins Henry.  Mike interrupts and says this is Molly's decision, it's her property, and she decided not to press charges.  "I've always found Mrs. McKinnen to be a reasonable woman," comments Henry.  Mike tells Jack that he's made his point, he won't be getting into any more barroom brawls and Henry will tow the line too.  "I'll tow whatever line keeps me out of jail," agrees Henry.  "OK, Henry, you dodged the bullet," says Jack.  Henry thanks them both, and Mike leaves to go back to work.  Jack tells Henry he can leave now.  "Gladly," says Henry, "Let me give you some advice, sconces on the wall, it would warm the place up to no end.  Or not."

Henry walks out the door of the police station and is attacked by Mike.  "I saved your butt in there, do you want to know why?" taunts Mike.  "Out of respect for my family?" guesses Henry.  Mikes says he wants something in return, Henry must never tell anyone about him and Carly.  Henry asks him to clarify and Mike explains he must keep everything a secret from everyone for all time.  "Fine," agrees Henry.  "It's been a pleasure being threatened by you.  Let's not do it again, real soon."

Jack is not satisfied by Mike and Henry's stories.  He pays a visit to Henry's business partners, Simon and Katie.  He tells them how upset Mike was with Henry and wonders if they might have any idea why.  Simon admits that Henry has been dressing better, and toasting women like that redhead at J.U., and throwing money around.  Suddenly Katie bursts out that Henry's a "double-crossing blackmailer!"  She realizes that Jack isn't supposed to know about that and tries to cover her tracks.  She tells the men she can't remember who it was that Henry was annoying.  Simon suggests they call Henry and ask him.  Katie tries to stop him but he calls Henry anyway, speed dial number 6.  He tells Henry he has some questions and invites him over for dinner to discuss it.  Henry agrees to come over.  Jack leaves and Simon convinces Katie to tell him what this is all about.  She admits that it was Carly Henry was blackmailing, but Jack must never find out!

Today’s episode was directed by Michael Eilbaum and written by Craig Heller.

Transcripts from TVMegaSite

Mike: Is this really necessary, Jack? I already told you why I went after Coleman.

Jack: Yeah, you don't like him.

Mike: He's scum. He's hurt people I know. That's it. That's the end of the story.

Jack: Well, he's also a dedicated scam artist. Listen, I just want to find out if whatever happened last night wasn't a tip of some weird iceberg. Is that a problem for you?

Mike: No. Let's -- let's get to it.

Henry: You know, this room is so depressing. Have you guys ever thought about upholstery?

Jack: Sit down, Henry. You, too, Mike. So what's going on, Henry? You looking to make trouble for my friend here? Is that why he tried to rearrange your face?

Henry: Well -- maybe you should ask him.

Jack: Mike?

Mike: Okay. All right. Here's the whole story. Henry broke into Molly's apartment and stole a canceled check.

Henry: Wait -- that has not been proven.

Jack: Yeah, I heard about that from Molly. We can investigate that if you'd like.

Henry: No, no, no. Nothing was taken. Miss McKinnon had a check out of order, and then she tried to pin it on me.

Jack: There's always breaking and entering, Henry. Whether or not you took anything, it's still a crime.

Henry: Wait, wait a second here! I came down here of my own free will.

Jack: I'm sure the judge will take that into consideration. Henry Coleman, I'm placing you under arrest for the crime of --

Henry: No, no, hold on, hold on. Now, this was all water under the bridge until he brought it up. Okay, all right, all right, all right, tough guy. You want to know why he was after me, huh? You want to know? I'm gonna tell you everything.

Jack: I'm all ears, Henry, and it better be good.

Henry: Well, how shall I begin, hmm? Let's see. I was hired --

mike: Whoa, wait a second. Wait a second. Now, this is -- this is Molly's decision to make. It was her property that was involved, not ours. You know, she -- she could have pressed charges, but she didn't. That was three months ago, and she still feels the same way.

Henry: Well, I've always found ms. McKinnon to be a very reasonable woman.

Mike: I think you've made your point to both of us, Jack. I'm not looking to get into any more bar fights, and I'm pretty sure that Henry's gonna tow the line, as well.

Henry: Hey, I'll tow whatever line keeps me out of jail.

Jack: Okay, Henry, you dodged a bullet.

Henry: Thank you, thank you. And you.

Mike: Hey, listen, I've got to get out of here, man. I've got to get back to work.

Jack: Yeah, no problem. Wait here. I know that wasn't fun, but I thought it might be worth it.

Mike: I know you were just trying to help me, Jack.

Jack: Hey, it comes with the territory.

Mike: How's that?

Jack: Carly's Molly's cousin. You're dating Molly. That makes us practically family.

Mike: I've got no problem with that. Thanks, Jack.

Jack: Take it easy. You can leave now, Henry.

Henry: Hey, gladly. Oh, and, Jack -- a little unsolicited advice -- maybe some sconces up on the walls, hmm, would warm the place up to no end. Or not.

Mike: I saved your butt back there. You want to know why?

Henry: You thought it would upset my family?

Mike: No, smart aleck. It's because I want something in return. You will never, ever tell anyone what you know about Jack's wife. You got that?

Henry: Okay, fine. When you say "never," now, what exactly do you mean?

Mike: Everything, everyone, for all time. Do not cross me on this.

Henry: Fine. It's been a pleasure being threatened by you. Let's not do it again real soon.
