Henry and Katie have finally left the cottage and are at Java getting coffee.  "You never change, do you, Henry?" says Katie.  "Not in my devotion to you," smiles Henry.  "What about your devotion to the truth? Face it. Hon, you are a little truth challenged," says Katie.  "How can you say that, my Bubblette?" says Henry in mock offense.  "Because you think that Jen was stupid to tell Mike about her one-night stand," says Katie.  "Yeah, I thought she was taking a bit of a chance. Yeah, sure," agrees Henry.  "You thought he was for sure going to break up with her. And he ended up asking her not to move out," says Katie.  "Okay, all right, whatever. Chalk one up for the truth, sure," says Henry.  "He really does love her, Henry," insists Katie.  "As much as I love you?" asks Henry.  "No, that's impossible. Nobody loves anyone as much as you love me," smiles Katie.  "That's right," says Henry.  "Which is kind of my point. I was just wondering if I made the same mistake that Jen did, would you try and forgive me?" asks Katie.  "You can't make the same mistake. Craig is your brother," jokes Henry.  "Ew!" cries Katie.  "I know, that's disgusting, isn't it?" laughs Henry.  "You know what I mean, though," says Katie.  "Mike loves Jen so much that he's going to do whatever it takes to make this work. And everything is going to be fine."  Henry isn't too sure.  "Wanna bet?" he says, pointing to Mike sitting sadly by himself.

Katie says she has to talk to Mike.  "Of course you do. I'll get us a couple of lattes and be right over," agrees Henry.  "Oh -- alone?" says Katie.  "Yeah. Yeah, sure. Of course. Go ahead and dash over there and have a heart to heart. And I'll grab the paper and check up on the ponies and wait here for -- for my wife," says Henry.  "Mm-hmm. That's right, your wife. I'll be right back," says Katie, giving him a kiss.  She walks over to Mike and says, "Mike? Hey. Um, don't take this the wrong way, but you look like..."  "I just lost my best friend. Yeah, maybe I'm wondering whether I have," says Mike.  He explains that he's having a hard time forgetting about Jen and Craig.  Katie asks him if he still loves Jen, and Mike says he does.  "Okay, then, there's nothing else to think about. Sometimes, love is unpredictable. Sometimes, it comes in a package that you didn't expect, but if it does come into your life, you have to grab it. Grab it and do not let go," she says.  "Well, I thought I was, then this," says Mike.  "Well, it's not always easy. I mean, this is the part where, even if love doesn't look like you thought it was supposed to look like, you have to see where it takes you. And believe me, if you stick with it, it can be better than you ever imagined," says Katie knowingly.  "I get the feeling you're not just talking about Jen and me anymore," observes Mike.  Katie agrees that she's happy, and Mike is  glad for her.  "Thanks. Well, listen, you know that if you ever need me, you can call me anytime," offers Katie.  Mike asks if Henry is cool with that and Katie assures him that he is.  Katie goes back to her husband.  "Bet you're dying to know what Mike said," she taunts.  "I know what he said. And I know what you're gonna say. It's over between us. We're through," says Henry.

Henry steps away and Katie pulls him back.  "What are you talking about, over between us?" she asks.  "You and Mike -- the way you looked at each other. I saw everything, Katie. Two people that have so much between them. I know what that means. You don't have to spell it out for me," says Henry.  "Hold on. One conversation with a friend and I'm bailing on my marriage? How many times do I have to tell you, Henry? Mike and Jennifer are committed to staying together," says Katie.  "What if they weren't?" asks Henry.  "You are my husband in every sense of the word," Katie assures him.  "You'd take me over Mike Kasnoff?" asks Henry.  "In a New York minute," smiles Katie.

Today’s episode was directed by John O'Connell and written by Judy Tate.

Transcripts from TVMegasite

Katie: You never change, do you, Henry?

Henry: Not in my devotion to you.

Katie: What about your devotion to the truth? Face it. Hon, you are a little truth challenged.

Henry: How can you say that, my Bubblette?

Katie: Because you think that Jen was stupid to tell Mike about her one-night stand.

Henry: Yeah, I thought she was taking a bit of a chance. Yeah, sure.

Katie: You thought he was for sure going to break up with her. And he ended up asking her not to move out.

Henry: Okay, all right, whatever. Chalk one up for the truth, sure.

Katie: He really does love her, Henry.

Henry: As much as I love you?

Katie: No, that's impossible. Nobody loves anyone as much as you love me.

Henry: That's right.

Katie: Which is kind of my point. I was just wondering if I made the same mistake that Jen did, would you try and forgive me?

Henry: You can't make the same mistake. Craig is your brother.

Katie: Ew!

Henry: I know, that's disgusting, isn't it?

Katie: You know what I mean, though.

Henry: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Katie: Mike loves Jen so much that he's going to do whatever it takes to make this work. And everything is going to be fine.

Henry: Wanna bet?

Katie: I have to talk to him.

Henry: Of course you do. I'll get us a couple of lattes and be right over.

Katie: Mm-hmm. That's right, your wife. I'll be right back.

Henry: Okay.

Katie: Mike? Hey. Um, don't take this the wrong way, but you look like --

Mike: I just lost my best friend. Yeah, maybe I'm wondering whether I have.

Katie: Are we talking about Jennifer? I thought you guys decided you should stay together.

Mike: Yeah, but I keep hearing your voice asking me if I was sure if I did the right thing or not.

Katie: I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said that. It was not my place.

Mike: No, no, no. Of course it was. Look, you earn rights when you care about people. And it was clear last night how much you care about me and Jen.

Katie: That's why I'm kind of confused. When I left you last night, you guys seemed okay.

Mike: We were. Then -- this is crazy. I cannot keep doing this.

Katie: Doing what?

Mike: Whenever I close my eyes, I -- I picture Craig putting his hands on her and Jennifer wanting him to.

Katie: Oh, you're right. You can't do that. You're going to drive yourself crazy. It's stupid and it's pointless, because Jennifer can explain to you that what you're imagining isn't what happened at all. Where is she, anyway?

Mike: That's another thing. I don't know. I woke up this morning, she was already gone.

Katie: Okay, I'm going to ask you a question, and I don't think about the answer, just answer with your heart, not with your head.

Mike: Okay.

Katie: Do you love Jennifer?

Mike: Yes, I love her.

Katie: Okay, then, there's nothing else to think about. Sometimes, love is unpredictable. Sometimes, it comes in a package that you didn't expect, but if it does come into your life, you have to grab it. Grab it and do not let go.

Mike: Well, I thought I was, then this.

Katie: Well, it's not always easy. I mean, this is the part where, even if love doesn't look like you thought it was supposed to look like, you have to see where it takes you. And believe me, if you stick with it, it can be better than you ever imagined.

Mike: I get the feeling you're not just talking about Jen and me anymore.

K Katie: I'm sorry.

Mike: No, no, you sound happy.

Katie: I am. Surprisingly happy.

Mike: I'm glad for you.

Katie: Thanks. Well, listen, you know that if you ever need me, you can call me anytime.

Mike: Henry's cool with that?

Katie: Yeah, he's cool. Bet you're dying to know what Mike said.

Henry: I know what he said. And I know what you're gonna say. It's over between us. We're through.

Katie: What are you talking about, over between us?

Henry: Well --

Katie: How many times do I have to tell you, Henry? Mike and Jennifer are committed to staying together.

Henry: What if they weren't?

Katie: You are my husband in every sense of the word.

Henry: You'd take me over Mike Kasnoff?

Katie: In a New York minute.
