Thursday, April 15, 2004 Katie and Henry have discovered that Pilar's partner in crime is name Russell Terry and is hiding out at the Wagon Wheel Motel. Russ caught Katie searching his room, and she proceeded to beat the truth out of him with a bat. While Henry was out of the room, he told her that Pilar wants to kill Mike. Katie rushed over to the cottage to tell him, as Margo arrived to investigate the disturbance. Henry and Margo are in Russ' room but there's no sign of Katie. "Katie Frasier - little blonde, about yea tall - she assaulted a man with this bat?" Margo asks the manager in disbelief. "Yup," he responds. Margo thanks him and Henry says, "You know Bubbles - she looks like a magnolia blossom but she swings like Hank Aaron." "Where were you? You know how Katie can get. Why didn't you stop her?" Margo reprimands him. "What, stop her from what? From defending herself?" says Henry. Margo asks if someone was attacking her and Henry answers, "No, not attacking exactly. But Russell Terry has a criminal record now. This much we know." Margo tells Henry to start talking. "Okay. I saw Russell with Pilar Domingo in this very motel room," he says seriously. "Meeting someone is not a crime," says Margo. "Yeah, but Pilar said she was scared to death of him. So why go out and make a social call?" ponders Henry. Margo says that's still not a crime. She grabs Henry by the tie and pulls him toward the door. "Whoa, wait. Where we going? Where we going?" he asks. "Well, you are going downtown to make a statement. And I'm going to make sure Katie that doesn't kill somebody," says Margo. Margo finds Katie at Mike's house, where she's trying to convince him that Pilar wants to kill him. Mike doesn't buy it, and neither does Margo. She reads Katie her rights and brings her to the station, where Henry is waiting for them. Margo is questioning Katie and Henry in the interrogation room. "Katie, why? Why did you have to go on a crime spree?" asks Margo. "Because I'm trying to save Mike's life. Why does no one believe me?" says Katie. "Face it, you're a modern-day Cassandra. No one believed her either. Although, on the bright side, she's been famous throughout the ages, and everyone loves publicity, right? Especially you," says Henry. Margo tells Henry to shut up and continues to question Katie. "I'm sorry because I know that Simon broke your heart. And then Mike came along and you fixed it. And for about ten minutes, you were happy. It looked like you guys were actually going to get married. And now you have to watch him be with another woman," says Margo sympathetically. "Okay, please don't bring up this jealousy thing again! For the last time, I am not jealous. I'm trying to keep a wonderful man from dying!" insists Katie. "Katie, listen to me! If Pilar wanted Mike dead, he'd be dead! She lives in his house. She's had a hundred opportunities a day!" says Margo. "Yeah, well, she needs to make sure that she wouldn't become a suspect. That's where Russell Terry comes in as the abusive boyfriend," explains Katie. Margo asks her how she knows he isn't. "Because he's scared spit less of her! You can come in any time, Henry," says Katie. Margo asks Henry if he ever heard Russ say that Pilar planned to kill Mike. "Not exactly. Maybe I was trying to convince the manager of the Wagon Wheel not to call the cops, but I did not witness Mr. Terry make the regrettable statement. I'm sorry, Bubbles," he says honestly. "Just get out of here, before I find reason to throw you in a cell, too," says Margo impatiently. "All right. Chin up," he says to Katie as he walks out the door. Margo notes that Katie has no witnesses to corroborate her story. "No, I don't need any witnesses. I know what I heard. If you would just bring Russell Terry in for questioning," says Katie. Margo tells her there's an APB out on him. She tells Katie she loves her, but, "Baby doll, with all that love, I'm finding it really hard to believe your story."
