Katie and Henry's stakeout of Pilar's room at the Wagon Wheel Motel comes to an unsuccessful end today, and Katie's the one who has to pay for it.

Katie saw Pilar put something in Mike's wine glass so she rushes in to stop him.  "Mike!  Don't - don't drink this!" she says, grabbing the glass out of his hand.  She tries to tell him that Pilar poisoned it, but of course they don't believe her.  She explains that she was watching Pilar because she was afraid she would do something to Mike.  "Mike, Pilar is crazy.  She's evil, just like I told you, and now I finally have proof.  Come on, let's get out of here before she tries to finish off the job."  Mike asks Katie to tell him exactly what she saw.  "Mike, you're listening.  I knew you would finally believe that I was telling the truth," she says, relieved.  Henry walks in with his hand in his coat pocket, pointing it like a gun.  "Nobody move.  I'm armed and the place is surrounded," he says.  "Henry, take that pen out of your pocket," says Mike, unimpressed.  Henry takes the pen out of his pocket and chews on it.  "So, everything's okay?  Oh, come on, Katie.  Why did you run in here like that?  You gave me a heart attack!" he says.  "I'm sorry.  I'm sorry, but everything's perfect now.  I saved Mike's life and he believes me.  I didn't even have to tell him about the bug," says Katie.  "Bug?" asks Mike.  "Bug?  Bug?  What bug?  There's no bugs in here," says Henry defensively.  "You planted a listening device in my room?" asks Pilar.  "Well, you weren't fighting fair.  So why would we?" responds Katie.  Mike demands that she explain everything, and she admits they planted the bug and were listening.  "Pilar was on the phone with somebody, saying how you were gonna get it!  And Henry heard, too, right?" says Katie.  "If a bug was planted by some unknown person, I may have heard something about it," admits Henry reluctantly.  Pilar says she was ordering dinner.  "Oh, that's a good one.  Like when any normal person orders food like this, 'Hi, it's Pilar.  Mike's here.  You know what to do.'  And, another thing, Ms. 'I have an answer for everything' - you were ordering take-out - where is it?"  Just then the pizza delivery guy shows up at the door to prove Pilar right.

Mike calls Margo and asks her to come over right away.  He hangs up the phone and thanks Pilar for letting him "keep this kind of in the family."  Katie warns Mike to keep an eye on Pilar in case she tries to run away, and Henry offers to stand guard.  Mike orders him to sit, and asks Katie if he can have the glass she's still holding.  "No, it's evidence," she says, clutching it.  She realizes that Mike doesn't believe her.  "You made a mistake," he says gently.  "About the phone call and the take-out, maybe.  But I know what I saw.  Pilar put poison or something into this glass.  And when Margo shows up, she's going to be arresting Pilar, not me," says Katie confidently.

Margo arrives and Katie asks her if she's going to arrest Pilar.  Ignoring her question, Margo asks Mike and Henry if they saw Pilar put anything in the glass, and they both say no.  "Why are you asking them?  I'm the witness.  I saw her do it," says Katie.  Margo says they'll have the wine analyzed, and suggests they all go down to the station.  "Is that really necessary?" asks Pilar.  "Ooh, running scared?" Katie taunts her.  "I was thinking of you, Katie.  If you're having delusions like this, maybe having us around just makes things worse," says Pilar.  "Oh, come on.  You're trying to kill Mike, and you're saying that I'm crazy?" asks Katie.  Mike suggests that they do what Margo says, so they all leave for the station.

Katie and Mike are in the interrogation room at the police station.  "I hope I didn't get Henry in trouble.  I know it's hard to believe, but sometimes I talk before I think. I wish you would do that.  Talk, I mean," says Katie.  Mike asks her if she's eaten today, and she says she doesn't remember.  Mike says he's scared for Katie, and she reassures him she's all right.  "Not if you don't leave Pilar alone.  Not if you won't let me move on.  It's like - it's like you're stuck in this dark place, and you can't get out of it.  And that's just not you.  You're Katie.  You're so bubbly and happy.  You have so much energy, it's like the rest of us can barely keep up with you.  Do you remember that person?" asks Mike.  "When I was six, I wanted to be eight.  'Cause that's when my mom would let me ride my bike down to the end of the block and back.  And when I was eight, I wanted to be thirteen because then I could go hang out with my friends at the mall.  And when I was thirteen, I wanted to be sixteen, so I could drive and wear makeup.  And date.  And fall in love," muses Katie.  Mike asks her what she wants to be now.  "I want to be over Simon.  And I want to be able to say that I love you, Mike Kasnoff.  And I want to spend the rest of my life with you.  But you're right.  I'm stuck, and no matter how hard I try, I just can't get there fast enough.  And in the meantime, I'm scared to death that something is going to happen to you, and it's gonna be my fault.  Just because I couldn't hurry up and grow," says Katie sadly.

Henry comes in and interrupts the  moment.  "Well, I aced that one.  They gave me a female detective.  I charmed her, disarmed her," he says confidently.  Katie asks if they're letting him go and Henry says, "If I know women, it's all over but the paperwork."  Margo comes in with the test results and calls Pilar into the room.  She tells them that there was no poison in Mike's glass or any of the other glasses, or the bottle.  "That's impossible.  How did you do that?  You set me up!" Katie accuses Pilar.

Katie follows Margo out of the interrogation room and tells her she can't just let Pilar walk out.  "Um, I have no problem walking out," says Henry.  "Cooper, take Mr. Coleman down and book him," orders Margo, and a cop hauls Henry out of the room protesting, "What?  Margo, Detective Reynolds and I had an agreement. Margo!"  "I'm so sorry for the inconvenience, but thank you for your cooperation and assistance," Margo says to Pilar.  "You're arresting Henry, and you're apologizing to this little..." says Katie angrily.  Margo pulls Katie away and she pleads with Mike one last time to stay away from Pilar.  Back in the interrogation room, Margo tells Katie she needs to let go of Mike.  Katie says she can't because Mike needs her.  "Are you doing anything to help yourself right now?  Are you taking care of yourself?  Are you getting any sleep?  You're obviously not eating right," says Margo worriedly.  "I'm right about Pilar!  She's slick, and she set me up tonight, and she's doing it to get me out of the way," insist Katie.  "Katie, can you hear yourself?" asks Margo.  "Fine, you don't believe me.  Just hurry up and arrest me so I can call Craig and get him to bail me out so I can get out of here," says Katie impatiently.  But Margo says she's not going to throw her in jail this time.  "I'm calling a psychiatrist, Katie.  Her name is Dr. Lynn Michaels.  She helped me once," she says, explaining that she's going to send Katie for an overnight evaluation.  "You're out of control, Katie," says Margo sadly.  "So, it's not just that you don't believe me.  You think I'm crazy," says Katie.

Today’s episode was directed by Christopher Goutman and written by Susan Dansby.

Transcripts from TVMegasite

Katie: Mike! Don't -- don't drink this!

Mike: Are you trying to -- you can't be here.

Katie: Did you drink any of this wine?

Mike: You didn't give me a chance! What's the matter with you?

Katie: She poisoned it!

Pilar: What?

Katie: I saw you, Pilar. I was outside, watching through the window, and I saw you.

Pilar: Why do you keep making up these crazy things?

Katie: I was worried something was gonna happen.

Mike: Okay, okay.

Katie: So, I was watching her. And thank God that I did --

Mike: You need to -- you need to calm down.

Katie: Mike, Pilar is crazy. She's evil, just like I told you, and now I finally have proof. Come on, let's get out of here before she tries to finish off the job.

Pilar: This woman is completely out of control!

Mike: Tell me what you saw.

Pilar: You're actually listening to this?

Katie: Mike, you're listening. I knew you would finally believe that I was telling the truth.

Mike: I think we all just need to take a deep breath and try to figure out what's gonna on --

Henry: Nobody move. I'm armed and the place is surrounded.

Pilar: He has a gun!

Mike: Henry, take that pen out of your pocket.

Henry: So, everything's okay? Oh, come on, Katie. Why did you run in here like that? You gave me a heart attack!

Katie: I'm sorry. I'm sorry, but everything's perfect now. I saved Mike's life and he believes me. I didn't even have to tell him about the bug.

Mike: Bug?

Henry: Bug? Bug? What bug? There's no bugs in here.

Pilar: You planted a listening device in my room?

Katie: Well, you weren't fighting fair. So why would we?

Mike: Start from the beginning, Katie.

Katie: I had to know what Pilar was up to. So, yes, we planted a bug and then we were listening in the alleyway. And it's a good thing.

Mike: What did you hear?

Pilar: There was nothing to hear!

Katie: Pilar was on the phone with somebody, saying how you were gonna get it! And Henry heard, too, right?

Henry: If a bug was planted by some unknown person, I may have heard something about it.

Pilar: I was talking about dinner. I was on the phone ordering take-out.

Katie: Oh, that's a good one. Like when any normal person orders food like this, "hi, it's Pilar. Mike's here. You know what to do." And, another thing, ms. "I have an answer for everything" -- you were ordering take-out -- where is it?

Delivery guy: Ready, set, pizza. Delivery for Pilar?

Margo: Hughes.

Mike: Margo, this is Mike. I think you should get over to the wagon wheel motel.

Margo: Katie?

Mike: Yeah.

Pilar: Is Margo on her way?

Mike: Thanks for letting me keep this kind of in the family.

Katie: You might want to keep an eye on her, Mike, so she doesn't try to run away.

Henry: I could stand guard outside.

Mike: Sit. Why don't you let me have that?

Katie: No, it's evidence.

Mike: Katie --

Katie: I was wrong, wasn't I? You didn't believe me, not even for a second.

Mike: You made a mistake.

Katie: About the phone call and the take-out, maybe. But I know what I saw. Pilar put poison or something into this glass. And when Margo shows up, she's going to be arresting Pilar, not me.

Katie: Are you going to arrest Pilar?

Margo: Mike, did you see Pilar put anything in your wine?

Mike: No.

Margo: Henry?

Katie: Why are you asking them? I'm the witness. I saw her do it.

Margo: We'll have the wine analyzed immediately.

Katie: Thank you.

Margo: I think we should all go down to the station now.

Pilar: Is that really necessary?

Katie: Ooh, running scared?

Pilar: I was thinking of you, Katie. If you're having delusions like this, maybe having us around just makes things worse.

Katie: Oh, come on. You're trying to kill Mike, and you're saying that I'm crazy?

Mike: All right, if Margo thinks we should all go down to the police station, then that's what we'll do. Let's go.

Katie: I hope I didn't get Henry in trouble. I know it's hard to believe, but sometimes I talk before I think. I wish you would do that. Talk, I mean.

Mike: Have you eaten today?

Katie: I don't remember. But thanks. It's nice to hear you ask.

Mike: There is nothing nice about this. I'm scared to death for you.

Katie: Don't be scared for me. I'm gonna be all right.

Mike: Not if you don't leave Pilar alone. Not if you won't let me move on. It's like -- it's like you're stuck in this dark place, and you can't get out of it. And that's just not you. You're Katie. Henry: Well, I aced that one. They gave me a female detective. I charmed her, disarmed her.

Katie: So they're letting you go?

Henry: If I know women, it's all over but the paperwork.

Margo: Pilar, come in here, too.

Henry: The test results are in?

Margo: Well, the test verified that there was wine in Mike's glass, nothing else.

Katie: No, that's impossible, Margo. Wait, it must have been in the other glass. She probably switched it when I was running from the window to the door.

Margo: No, they tested the other glass. And the bottle as well. There was no poison, Katie.

Katie: That's impossible. How did you do that? You set me up!

Katie: Margo, you can't just let her walk right out of here.

Henry: Um, I have no problem walking out.

Margo: Cooper, take Mr.. Coleman down and book him.

Margo: I'm so sorry for the inconvenience, but thank you for your cooperation and assistance.

Katie: You're arresting Henry, and you're apologizing to this little --

Margo: Katie, I need you to come with me.

Katie: Mike, please just stay away from her. She's dangerous. Please, just trust me this one last time. Please?

Mike: I'll take you back to your place.

Pilar: I've spent all this time assuming that she knew what she was doing. But it's so obvious now. She's ill. She's seeing things, hearing things. It's so sad. I hope she can get the help she needs.

Katie: She's going to hurt him. I know it.

Margo: Katie, I need you to let go of Mike right now.

Katie: No, I can't. He needs me.

Margo: Are you doing anything to help yourself right now? Are you taking care of yourself? Are you getting any sleep? You're obviously not eating right.

Katie: I'm right about Pilar! She's slick, and she set me up tonight, and she's doing it to get me out of the way.

Margo: Katie, can you hear yourself?

Katie: Fine, you don't believe me. Just hurry up and arrest me so I can call Craig and get him to bail me out so I can get out of here.

Margo: No, baby, that's not going to happen this time. I'm not going to throw you in jail.

Katie: All right. Well, you're not going to arrest me, you're not going to let me go, then what --

Margo: I'm calling a psychiatrist, Katie. Her name is Dr. Lynn Michaels. She once helped me once.

Katie: A psychiatrist? Why?

Margo: Because I'm going to send you in for an overnight evaluation.

Katie: No, Margo, please tell me this is not true.

Margo: You're out of control, Katie.

Katie: So, it's not just that you don't believe me. You think I'm crazy.
