Well the big day has finally arrived – Katie and Henry depart on their excellent adventure.  But first they have to get past Simon.

Craig and Barbara are preparing for their wedding and their happy guests are arriving.  Katie is in the lobby of the hotel with her trunk, obviously not dressed for the wedding.  Simon stops her and asks where she’s going, and with whom.  Next time you see me, I'll be an unfaithful wife,” declares Katie smugly.  “So the next time your Brazilian bombshell starts throwing off sparks, you won't even have to feel guilty.  And when my lover calls, neither will I.”  She starts to leave and Simon stops her, saying, “Katie, wait, wait.  Why are you putting on this act?”  “Is it really so hard to believe that I've found someone who's romantic and adventurous?” asks sue05-21-01.jpg (6775 bytes) Katie.  “Someone who wants to sweep me off my feet?”  “Right, right, and who is this enigma?” asks Simon.  Henry walks in wearing safari gear and blowing a whistle.  Simon sees him and laughs.  Okay, Peretti!  Let's get this show on the road,” exclaims Henry.  “Great timing, Henry, just great,” says Katie.

“So, this -- this -- this is the stud muffin that you've been boasting about?  Right, this is how you're going to pay me back for what you imagined I did with Ruby, right?  Well, look, yeah, you showed me.  I hate being jealous,” says Simon sarcastically.  “I'm sure I'm being insulted here, so would one of you mind telling me what's going on so I can glare with the proper look of indignation?” asks Henry.

“Give me a break, Simon.  So you caught me in one tiny little white lie, big deal,” says Katie defensively.  Henry begins checking his gear as Katie and Simon talk.  “Mosquito coils -- check.”  Simon asks Katie, “Why do you even bother with this?  You know, I'm not jealous.  I don't care what you do with your life as long as you don't bullocks up mine.”  “Fine, then,” answers Katie.  “Henry and I are just going on a little camping trip.”  “Ant-away -- check.”  “Right, right, yeah, right, where?  Fantasy Island?” asks Simon.  “It's none of your business, my love.  Just because I'm married to you doesn't mean I have to give away my air of mystery,” taunts Katie.  “Your air of what?” asks Simon, laughing.  “Extra floss -- check.”  “Just don't worry about me, okay, Simon?” says Katie.  “Okay, I won't,” agrees Simon.  “I'll be back in a couple of days with the biggest surprise you could ever imagine.  And when you see it, you're never gonna make fun of me again,” says Katie proudly.  “Okay, well, you know, just make sure it's got ‘first class’ and ‘one-way ticket to Australia’ printed on it.  That would be great,” says Simon.  “Ah, ah, ah!  No fair guessing, honey.  Come on, Henry, let's go.  Come on,” says Katie as she drags him away.  “I had some martini mix here somewhere,” comments Henry.  “It's lethal stuff, but it's all I could find.”

Katie and Henry go up to her room for some last minute packing.  Henry throws some junk food on the bed and comments, “When I sue05-21-012.jpg (7318 bytes) said we needed to go grocery shopping, I didn't think we'd be throwing quarters into the vending machines in the basement!”  “Well – “ begins Katie.  “Did it ever occur to you to get some real food?” asks Henry, as he unloads more food from his pockets.  “Henry, would you forget about it?  We're gonna be fine.  We're not gonna starve.  We're only gonna be there for a weekend,” explains Katie.  “Oh, well, what's the matter with me?  I seem to remember that I need real nourishment over the weekend, too,” says Henry.  “Okay, fine.  We'll stop at Mabel's and get some red-hots on the way if that'll make you feel better,” agrees Katie.  “Okay, all right, whatever.  Are we ready here? I mean, I've chartered the plane.  I don't wanna blow our reservation.”  “I think I should leave a note for Simon.  Don't you think?” asks Katie.  “Didn't you say you didn't want him to know where you were going?” asks Henry, packing up the food in a large backpack.  “Yeah, but what if Craig pays him the money that he owes him before we get back and he leaves the country?” worries Katie.  “Well, then you'd have to keep your half of the 50/50 split all to yourself.  What a shame,” answers Henry sarcastically.  “No, I'm gonna write him a note,” decides Katie, “Something that'll make him wanna stick around.  Okay.  How does sue05-21-013.jpg (7786 bytes) this sound?  ‘Dearest darling Simon, I've gone to find your diamond.  Wait for me.  Love and smooches – ‘”  Henry scoffs at this.  “’-- Your wife, Katie.’  How does that sound?” asks Katie.  “That sounds magnificent.  That rivals Jane Austen.  Now leave the letter, and let's go!” says Henry impatiently.  “Okay,” says Katie.  She kisses the letter and gently places it on the bed.  As she and Henry leave the room, the letter falls to the floor.  Later, a maid comes into the room and puts the letter in a magazine.  Who knows when Simon will find it?

Henry and Katie are in their little plane, heading for Lily and Simon’s island in the Outer Banks.  Katie is trying to make sense out of a map.  “I don't believe you, Katie,” complains Henry.  “You buy scuba gear.  You hire a plane.  You hire me.  You can't spend a couple of dollars on a better map?”  “I couldn't chance it.  Nobody's supposed to know where we are, remember?  You didn't put it in the airport log, did you?” asks Katie.  “Yeah, Katie,” says Henry sarcastically.  “I told them, ‘destination -- no-name island, coordinates -- lost by lostwest.’  Where'd you get that map anyway, the Internet?”  “Don't knock it, Henry,” says Katie.  “Yahoo,” cheers Henry.  “You can find anything if you surf long enough,” says Katie.  “Yeah, well, that's what I'm hoping for,” says Henry, thinking of the diamond.  “So which way to the Carolinas?” asks Henry, acting clueless.  Katie looks panicked and Henry laughs, “I got ya!”  “Henry, don't do that to me,” says Katie.  She hits him and he protests, “I'm flying.”  “My entire future is waiting for me on that island,” declares Katie.

Today’s episode was directed by Chris Goutman and written by Judy Tate.
