Thursday, June 4, 2009 Vienna is at the studio helping Brad and Katie with their reality show when she faints. They rush to the hospital and Vienna calls Henry. He shows up with flowers and tells Katie all is forgiven. The doctor tells her she's OK but will need to be on bed rest for the remainder of her pregnancy. Kim offers Vienna Katie's job, and Henry and is not happy that Vienna and Brad will be spending so much time together. Today’s episode was directed by Michael Eilbaum and written by Peter Brash.
Transcripts from TVMegasite Vienna: Of course we'll be there. Anything for Brad and Katie. Okay, bye. Henry: Who was that on the phone, sweetheart? Vienna: That was, uh, Kim. She wants us to be on TV with Brad and Katie again. Henry: Why would we want to do that? Vienna: To finish up the reality series about them trying to get pregnant. Henry: No, that's a bad idea. Vienna: We got to be there to support Katie. Henry: I don't think so. [Vienna sighs] Vienna: You know what? This tie just looks perfect. Let me go change into something fabulous so we can go to the studio, okay? Henry: Sweetheart, you're not lis -- you're not listening to me. You're -- you're not. Listen. Honey. This reality TV show is not part of my reality, okay? And I'm not going, and I don't think you should, either.
Henry: I don't want you to go. Vienna: I have to. Please come with me. Henry: No. I -- no, I don't want to be a part of some reality TV circus. They can find another clown! Vienna: No, this is not about a performance, Henry. This is about supporting our friends. Henry: Sweetie, the studio is where you fell. It's where we lost our baby. How can you even think of going back there? Vienna: I know it might be painful, but this might be the closure we need. Henry: It -- it might be. It might -- it might reopen the wound. I don't know about you, but it's still pretty raw for me right now. I'm not as angry as I was, okay? And I'm -- I'm not gonna sue anybody. But you can't expect me to go on TV and -- and share my feelings like I -- I'm happy that those two won the baby lottery and we lost. Vienna: Oh, but this is not about winning or losing! Henry: Really? Then why do I feel like I'm saying goodbye to the biggest jackpot of my life? Vienna: Oh -- I understand. I understand. But this is about Katie and Brad getting their dream come true. And they're our friends, and how can we let them down, huh? Henry: I can't, liebchen. I -- I can't do it. Vienna: I understand, but I have to, for Katie. Henry: All right. Well, I'm sorry to make you go without me. Vienna: I can deal with that. But can you deal with seeing me on TV being happy for Brad and Katie?
[Cell phone rings] Henry: Hey, Vienna. Uh, how's the taping going? Are you still at the studio? Vienna: Uh, no, actually. There was a problem. We're at the hospital. Henry: What happened? Are you all right? Vienna: I'm fine. It's Katie. She fainted, and we don't know why. We had to call an ambulance. Henry: Is the baby all right? Vienna: We're -- we're not sure yet. But she's very worried, and she needs you, Henry. Henry: I'm on my way. [Vienna sighs] Vienna: Thank you. Thank you.
[Knock on door] Henry: Flower delivery. Katie: Oh, Henry, they're beautiful! Henry: Brad just told me the good news. Sounds like with a little, uh, TLC, you and the baby will be fine. And I, for one, could not be happier.
Katie: Henry, you didn't have to bring those over. I'm not gonna be in the hospital for long. Henry: Well, just bring them home with you, then. Tell Brad to change the water and throw this little packet of stuff in. It's -- I think it's plant steroids, though, so you make sure you stay away from it, all right? Katie: I'll be careful. Henry: You'd better be. Come over to your house and give you big trouble. Katie: Honestly, I didn't know if you were speaking to me yet. Henry: When have I ever passed up a chance to give you a hard time? Katie: You know what I mean? For a while there, I thought I lost you. Henry: Vienna said you were in the hospital, just the thought of you losing the baby, I -- I got so worried, I think I broke the sound barrier getting over here. Katie: Must have been too close to home, though, with Vienna being here not that long ago. And I wouldn't blame you if you thought that I deserved what happened to her. Henry: Sweetie, don't say that. Don't say that. Katie: Well, it's a logical question. Why should I get to keep my baby when Vienna lost hers? Henry: You can't think that way, baby, okay? You can't. Katie: I just wish I could go back and change what happened. Henry: So do I. We got to put the past behind us, though, okay, and look to the future. This kid right here -- that is the future. So you hold on with both hands and don't let go. Katie: Just feels wrong to be happy when you're so sad. Henry: Happiness comes and happiness goes. Friendship is for keeps. As long as you're my best friend, all's right in my world. Katie: Mine too.
Vienna: Well, I hope Henry's been taking good care of you. Katie: He's been an angel. Brad: Look what I've got. I got your release papers. Are you ready to go home, put your feet up, and take it easy until the baby comes? Katie: Not really, but if I have to do this bed rest thing, at least I can be in my own bed. Brad: Dr. Love is in the house. Vienna: Okay. Katie: So, how did it go at the studio? Vienna: Oh, my god. It was amazing. Brad: Okay, I -- I know you hate it that you can't do the show right now, but there is good news. Kim made good on her promise. She gave me my old job back. [Katie gasps] Katie: That's fantastic! Brad: Yeah. Henry: Yeah. So, how does that work? Are you -- you're gonna do it alone? Brad: Actually, Vienna is gonna fill in for Katie. Henry: She what? [Vienna laughs] Katie: Oh, my god. That's great! Vienna: I thought if being Brad's partner will keep the show going, I thought you'd want me to do it. Katie: I do. Brad: I mean, it's not -- it's not set in stone. We just -- we're gonna do a test show. Vienna: Yeah, they have to see if we have the chemistry. Henry: "Chemistry"? What does chemistry have to do with anything? Brad: That just -- I mean, that's just how they describe, you know, how two people kind of -- how they work together on camera. Henry: That's funny, because it doesn't sound like a work word to me. Katie: I think Vienna and Brad will have great chemistry. Vienna: Yeah! On air, okay? On the air. So, I promise I will take good care of him at the studio. Henry: What does that mean? Vienna: What's the matter? Henry: What do you mean what's the matter? I think you know what the matter is. Katie: Henry, is there a problem? Vienna: No, no, no. No problem. Henry: Speak for yourself, sweetheart. Vienna: Okay. Um, she doesn't need any stress right now. Katie needs to rest. So you know what? We're gonna go. Katie: What was that about? Brad: Something tells me that we don't want to know.
Henry: I just think about you doing a show with Brad day in, day out, and I just -- I just, uh -- Vienna: What, what, what? Henry: Look -- look at Brad and Angelina. Vienna: That's a different Brad! Henry: No, no, but it's the same situation! It's -- it's attractive people and chemistry and more chemistry. Vienna: Listen. This is all work, Henry. You know, I'm -- I'm on TV with Brad. I'm not doing this for Brad. I'm doing it for Katie. Think of it as a gift from us to her. Henry: How much more do we have to give? First you were gonna have a baby with the guy, and now you're cohosting a show with him? You're spending more time with him than me! Vienna: Well, I'll still be in bed with you every night. Henry: Promises, promises. Vienna: Oh. No one can do what you do to me, and you know what I'm talking about. Henry: You know what I'm talking about? I want you all the time, and I don't want to share. Vienna: Oh! [Laughs] Well, no one is sharing this. Henry: Oh, goodness. Vienna: Ah! [Cell phone rings] Vienna: Just a minute. Henry: No, no, no, no. Vienna: Phone. Henry: No, no, no, no, no! Don't answer it! Vienna: I have to. It's Kim. [Henry groans] Vienna: Hello. Now? No, no, no. I'm not -- I'm not busy. [Henry chuckles] Yeah, I'll be there right away. Okay. I have to go to the studio. Henry: Is Brad gonna be there? [Vienna sighs] Vienna: You have nothing to worry about, okay? There's only one for me -- you. I love you. Say you know I love you. Say it, Henry. Say, "I know you do." Say it. Henry: I know you love me, Vienna. And I love you, too. Vienna: Okay.
Henry: Glad somebody's happy.
