Henry and Maddie are still staying with Katie since Henry is still injured, which is exactly what Maddie had in mind!

Katie opens the door to the cottage and turns on the light.  Maddie is behind her, followed by Mike helping Henry.  "All right. We're almost there, big guy," says Mike as they lead him to the couch.  "Just a few more steps. You want to stop and rest for a second?" asks Katie.  "Oh, come on. You're treating me like an invalid. I'm incapacitated. That's different. Not that I mind the attention. I love it. I just think we're carrying this lean on me thing just a little bit too far, guys," says Henry.  "Maddie! Donut!" he calls, and Maddie places a donut pillow on the couch for him to sit on.  "Ah, that's better," sighs Henry.  "At least nothing's broken," says Mike.  "I can't imagine the pain being worse than this. Listen to me, please. Come on, let me just have one martini, for being such a good little boy at the hospital, please?" begs Henry.  "Henry, for the last time, I'm not going to let you mix alcohol and painkillers. Besides, it's time for your pill, now, anyway. Where are they?" wonders Katie.  "Over by the bar. The bar!" cries Henry longingly.  Katie finds the pills and notices they were prescribed to a Harold Coleman, not Henry.  "You got me the wrong prescription?" Henry asks Maddie.  "Of course not. Did I?" asks Maddie.  "You need to go back to the pharmacy and get some pills that work, honey, 'kay?" says Henry.  "Well, don't send me. I'll just mess it up again," says Maddie.  Katie offers to go but Maddie has a better idea.  "No, no, wait. It's time for Henry's alcohol rub. Mike. Perfect. Thanks for volunteering. Oh, and, take your time," says Maddie, taking Mike's arm and leading him to the door.

Henry's lying on the couch and Katie is rubbing his back, while Maddie watches from the stairs.  "Ooh, ooh, ooh, yeah. That's -- ow!" cries Henry.  "Make up your mind, would you?" says Katie.  "I'm trying to. Every time it gets going good, you suddenly turn all sadistic on me," complains Henry.  "Well, if you don't like my technique, I could give that Amazon physical therapist from the hospital a call. She could come right over," suggests Katie.  "No, no, no. No, no Helga. No. She makes Vin Diesel seem like a wimp. You're doing fine, baby. You're doing great. Keep it up, okay?" says Henry.  "Well, unfortunately, I can't. I gotta get started on dinner," says Katie.  "Mmm. Dinner. I'm starving. What's on the menu?" asks Henry.  "I was thinking meatloaf," says Katie.  "With garlic mashed potatoes?" asks Henry.  "If that's what you want," smiles Katie.  "Oh, you're just -- you're too good to me," says Henry.  "I know," says Katie, helping him sit up and put his shirt on.

"I can't believe I've been taking the wrong pills all day," sighs Henry.  "I know. And I wonder what's taking Mike so long with the right ones. Should we invite him for dinner?" asks Katie.  "Yeah, sure, we can do that, if you want," says Katie.  Maddie comes downstairs and says, "Hey, guys. What's up?"  Katie says she's thinking about starting dinner, and Henry suggests Maddie offer to help.  "Well, you know me. Disaster in the kitchen," says Maddie.  "Well, I'm sure there's some way that you could make yourself useful," says Henry sternly.  "Yeah. Why don't you keep your brother company while I get to work?" suggests Katie.  "I could do that. I could. Is this your wedding album?" asks Maddie, picking up the book.  "No, no. Yes, no, it is, but no photos. No photo albums, okay. Because the last thing you want to see when you're all laid up is pictures of yourself on a good day," says Henry.  "Oh, come on. I love weddings. And, you know, I didn't get to come to yours, so at least show me some pictures," says Maddie.  "It was different, that's for sure," smiles Katie.  "How different? Just tell me what it was like. Please?" begs Maddie.  "Okay. Shall we give her the cliff notes version?" suggests Henry.  Katie agrees.

"You two look so happy. Like you were meant to be. What's so funny? Don't you believe in destiny?" asks Maddie, seeing the looks on their faces.  "I'd have to say that after everything that's happened, and the way it's ended up, I guess I'm a little dubious," says Henry.  "When you get older, Maddie, you'll learn that life and destiny don't always get along," explains Katie.  "How about that meatloaf?" says Henry, changing the subject.  "No, wait, wait. At least tell me about the honeymoon," asks Maddie.  Katie tells her they didn't have one, and Henry explains, "No, we couldn't. We didn't have the time, we couldn't afford to go away."  "Well, there's your problem. You can't start off a marriage without a great honeymoon," says Maddie.  "Ah. Mystery solved," says Henry.  Katie goes into the kitchen to start dinner.  "Wanna know what I think?" Maddie asks Henry.  "No, I do not want to know what you think," says Henry.  "I think that the two of you should try it again. I mean, you jinxed it by having the ceremony in a gym, with Katie's other guy as your best man. And no honeymoon? You don't even know how stupid a move that was," says Maddie.  "Maddie, stop it, stop it, stop it. Stop it. Katie and I are where we're at because that's just the way things played out. Now, help me up, will you? I gotta go to the bathroom," says Henry.  "I'm going to start charging you for nurse duty," says Maddie, helping him stand up.  "Isn't it enough I have to listen to your advice, darling?" replies Henry.  "Well, it's amazing you've survived this far without it. If you started listening to me, you'd be a lot better off," says Maddie.  There's a knock on the door and Henry looks hopeful.  Maddie answers it; it's Mike with the prescription.  "Pain pills. Thank you so much!" says Henry.  "You're welcome," says Mike.  "Thank you. Well, can you help me to the bathroom? I need to take a shower. A cold one," says Henry.

Maddie and Katie are peeling potatoes for dinner.  "It's really nice of you, letting us stay here," says Maddie.  "Oh, it's the least I could do. Besides, it's good. It gives us a chance to get to know each other. And it's kind of nice having Henry around again," says Katie, "I missed his friendship. You know, we were roommates before we were married. And always best friends."  "Well, they say the relationships that last are based on friendship as much as love," says Maddie.  "Yeah, I wish it were that simple," sighs Katie.  "You know, you older people have a way of making things so much more complicated than they need to be," says Maddie.  "Older people?" asks Katie.  "Well, you know what I mean. It's like you look for reasons to just mess up a good thing," says Maddie.  "Yeah, sometimes we do. I mean, it's not like we know we're doing it at the time. Or we don't realize it till it's too late," says Katie.  "Well, I don't think it's ever too late when it comes to love. You could always try to fix things," declares Maddie.  "Talk to me in a few years," says Katie.  "Know what I believe?" asks Maddie.  "What's that?" says Katie.  "You and Henry are soulmates," says Maddie.  "I used to think so. I actually said that in our vows. I mean, nobody makes me laugh like he did. Nobody got my moods the way he did. We were best friends. I should get these in the water," says Katie, changing the subject.  She takes the potatoes into the kitchen, and Maddie has another daydream.  Henry and Katie are dressed in their wedding clothes, clinking glasses of champagne.

"This is the happiest day of my life. I'm back with the woman I love. And it's all thanks to my little sister, Maddie. We wouldn't be here if it weren't for her," says Henry, smiling at her.  "Here's to Maddie, who made us realize that we were fools to ever give each other up. Made us realize how much we really do belong together," says Katie.  The newlyweds kiss.

Mike comes up to them and says, "Henry, I just want to shake your hand. Looks like the best man got the girl, after all. Now, do you mind if I kiss the bride?" he says, taking his turn.

Maddie opens her eyes.  "Wait. Get out of my fantasy, Mike Kasnoff. Now," she says, closing her eyes tight and going back to her daydream.  "Here's to you, Maddie. For making us realize what fools we were to ever break up. For helping us to realize that we definitely belong together," says Katie.  "That's more like it," smiles Maddie.

Mike helps Henry back into the living room.  "Something smells really good," says Mike.  "Yeah. You don't recognize the enticing aroma of Katie's world-famous meatloaf?" asks Henry.  Mike admits he's never had it, and Henry says, "Really? Huh. I just assumed you'd -- there is no meat in the world that compares to it. You gotta stay and have dinner. Just stay and give it a taste," offers Henry.  Maddie sneezes and Henry asks, "Someone forget to take their antihistamines?"  "Ah, well. They're all out. With your accident and everything, I forget to get them refilled. Maybe Mike can go to the drug store and..." suggests Maddie.  "Actually, I gotta take off. But thanks for the dinner invite," says Mike, "And sorry, Maddie, I can't stick around."  "You're not staying for dinner?" asks Katie, coming back in the room.  "I wish I could," says Mike.  "But, unfortunately, he can't. What a pity," says Maddie.  "Yeah, it is. I made extra," says Katie.  "Yeah, I heard I don't know what I'm missing," says Mike.  "No, you don't. I'll walk you out," offers Katie.  "It's not like he doesn't know his own way," mutters Maddie.  "Madeline!" scolds Henry, as Katie and Mike leave.  "By the way, little sister, here's your allergy medicine," says Henry, "Sounds like there's about a week left here."  "Okay, so, I forgot. What's your point?" says Maddie.  "I know what you're doing, Maddie. I want you to stop it," says Henry.  "Stop what?" asks Maddie innocently.  "You know exactly what I'm talking about," answers Henry.

Maddie is peeking out the window at Mike and Katie.  "I know you think you can manipulate this situation so that it will turn out the way you want it to, but that's not going to happen, Maddie," says Henry.  "I am not trying to manipulate anything. I am just trying to clear away some of the clutter so that you and Katie will find your way back to each other. You know what, so far, I think it's working out pretty well," says Maddie.  "Madeline Coleman! You better not have had anything to do with me falling down those stairs!" says Henry.  "Why would you say that?" asks Maddie.  "Oh! I can see it in your eyes. You put that slipper there, didn't you? Admit it!" says Henry.  "Fine. I'm sorry, okay? I did. But, one, I was going to pretend to fall. And that way we could stay here for a while. I had never intended for you to take the tumble," says Maddie.  "Well, I did, honey. And now look at me," says Henry.  "Oh, you're gonna be fine. What matters is, we are staying here, Katie is taking care of you, and the two of you are going to fall back in love again. Come on, bro. Get with the program," says Maddie.

Henry starts to get up off the couch.  "Oh, what are you doing?" asks Maddie.  "I'm going to go tell Katie that we're leaving. That this just isn't working out," says Henry.  "But it is working out," says Maddie.  "No, it's -- I love you for trying, sweetheart, I really do. But, listen, Katie loves Mike. Nothing can stop that. It's like trying to stop the tide from coming in," says Henry.  "I don't believe that. I see the way she looks at you. We cannot give up on this, Henry. We just can't," says Maddie.

Today’s episode was directed by Maria Wagner and written by Josh Griffith.
