Henry and Vienna meet Noah's father and make quite an impression on him!

Today’s episode was directed by Christopher Goutman and written by ?.

Transcripts from TVMegasite

Vienna: We're going to miss Jack and Katie's engagement party if we don't stop.

Henry: Who?

Vienna: Oh Henry, you're terrible.

Henry: I think -- listen to me -- I think that after a long day of serving our loyal customers and earning an honest buck, we owe it to ourselves to enjoy all the perks of being our own bosses.

Col Mayer: Oh, pardon me? I'm sorry. I must be in the wrong place. I'm looking for a Henry Coleman.

Vienna: Oh, no, no, no, you found him. Henry, this very handsome man is here to see you.

Henry: Hi, hi, how's it going? We're closed.

Col. Mayer: The sign outside said open 24 hours.

Henry: Yeah, well, it's kind of private party, you know what I'm saying? Can you come back tomorrow?

Col. Mayer: Perhaps I should introduce myself. I'm Colonel Winston Mayer. My son, Noah, is moving in with your sister. And I thought under the circumstances, we should probably meet.

Henry: Absolutely, yes, yes. It's a pleasure -- pleasure to meet you, sir. Maddie has told me so -- you're a colonel.

Vienna: Colonel, please sit down.

Col. Mayer: Oh, no, no --

Vienna: And yes, you're right. We should get friendly.

Col. Mayer: No, thank you. That's -- that's -- no, I mean, look, you and Mr. Coleman seem very busy.

Vienna: Oh, no, no, we were just fooling around. We can do that anytime. Please sit. Sit.

Vienna: How did you manage to get lipstick all the way over here?

Henry: Well, some things must remain mysteries, sweetheart. So, I -- I'm really glad that you stopped by, sir. Colonel. Colonel sir.

Col. Mayer: You can call me "Win."

Vienna: Oh, Win! That's a fantastic name. You must be a lucky man.

Col. Mayer: Not as lucky -- I suppose, yes!

Vienna: Oh well, you most certainly are a very handsome man. No wonder our dear Madeline is so crazy about your son! Oh, and Henry's right, it's so good to meet you!

Henry: Sweetheart, down. Let the man breathe, yeah?

Col. Mayer: Thank you. Your sister tells me you recently acquired this establishment?

Henry: Yes.

Vienna: Well, Henry actually won it with the most glorious hand in - -

Henry: Oh, I don't think the colonel needs to hear all the boring details.

Col. Mayer: And did you always want to be in the service industry?

Henry: No. I just sort of fell into it.

Col. Mayer: What did you do before?

Henry: Oh, a little of this, a little that.

Vienna: Oh, please. Don't be so modest, Henry. Before, Henry -- he was a card shark, he was a TV producer, a private investigator, and he was a limo driver. So, you might say that I have a thing for a man in uniform?

Henry: And what is it that you do, colonel?

Col. Mayer: I'm a colonel. In the army. Retired, of course.

Henry: Ah, yes, of course. Of course! Semper fi! Wait a second -- that's the marines, I'm sorry.

Col. Mayer: It doesn't matter. Considering your fondness for uniforms, I must say that is certainly quite the outfit you have on.

Vienna: Yeah, isn't it amazing? You should have seen what they were wearing before.

Henry: Coffee?

Col. Mayer: Please.

Maddie: Henry, thank you so much for co-signing this lease. Otherwise Noah and I would not be able to get this apartment. Ask me again how happy I am that you're finally a legitimate business man.

Henry: Madeline --

Maddie: Yeah, it's right here --

Henry: Madeline --

Maddie: What?

Henry: We have company.

Maddie: Colonel Mayer. What are you doing here?

Col. Mayer: I, you know, since you're moving in with my son, I thought I should meet your family -- and words fail to describe the experience.

Maddie: Well, this is a surprise. I didn't know that you'd be here.

Col. Mayer: It was a spur-of-the-moment visit.

Maddie: Oh, I don't think so. I think you came by purposely without me. It was a covert operation.

Col. Mayer: And you caught me. Is Noah here?

Maddie: Uh, he's at the studio.

Col. Mayer: He's hard at work. I really do like the effect you're having on him, Maddie. I couldn't be happier than you two moving in together.

Maddie: Good, thank you.

Col. Mayer: Perhaps maybe we can celebrate your new living arrangements tonight over dinner.

Vienna: Oh, maybe, Henry and I can join you guys and we can make it a family --

Henry: Actually, we love too, but we have plans, I'm afraid. It's Jack and Katie's engagement party and it would be really rude to cancel on such short notice.

Col. Mayer: I agree. And please don't rearrange your evening on my account.

Henry: Maybe another night.

Col. Mayer: Yeah, yeah. Maddie, I'll be in touch.

Maddie: Okay.

Col. Mayer: Henry. Miss Hyatt.

Maddie: What happened before I got here?

Henry: Nothing.

Maddie: Henry --

Vienna: No, it was no big deal. The colonel just walked in on us.

Maddie: He walked in on you?

Vienna: Yeah, just fooling around.

Maddie: Well, no wonder why he was acting all weird. The colonel is very --

Henry: Uptight.

Maddie: Formal. He's very conservative.

Henry: Really? And yet he doesn't mind that you and Noah are living together?

Maddie: He likes me.

Henry: Go figure. Well, here's the lease here. Sign it so you can start living in sin with Noah.

Maddie: Okay, will you stop calling it that? What Noah and I have, it's very sweet and loving. Kind of what like you and Vienna have.

Vienna: I've never seen you this happy. You truly deserves this.

Henry: Here you go.

Maddie: Thank you.

Henry: I don't know why, but I have feel like I'm giving you away.

Maddie: Oh, Henry. Noah is going to be very good to me.

Henry: Yeah, if he's half the man you say he is, I'm sure everything will be fine. And if he's not, I know people.

Maddie: That won't be necessary. Okay. I'll see you guys later. Thank you again for this. I love you.

Henry: I love you, too. There she goes. My not so little sister about to embark on a life of sin. Speaking of sin, where were we, hm?

Vienna: Right here.

Henry: Oh my god.

Vienna: Oh my darling, I feel the same way!

Henry: No, no, honey. I just -- I just realized that between the colonel's unexpected visit and then Maddie stopping by with the lease and then all of this, and we are missing the engagement party.

Vienna: Oh, but Katie will understand.

Henry: No, no. The girl holds a grudge, believe me.

Vienna: Not when it comes to true love, and the passion between two people who feel as deeply as we do. She'll understand why we couldn't pull away from each other.

Henry: She is a very forgiving woman.

Vienna: You know what I want to do right now?

Henry: Oooh! Prep cook and saucy waitress?

Vienna: No, better.

Henry: What? What could be better than prep cook and saucy waitress right here on this table?

Vienna: You and me.
