Barbara runs into Henry at the Lakeview and pressures him to sign over half of James' inheritance to Paul.  So Henry goes to see Paul, and he promises to get her to back off since he wants nothing to do with the Stenbeck fortune.  Meanwhile, Audrey has gotten Barbara drunk and has a new idea of how to get her to back off.  She tells Henry to sleep with her!

Today’s episode was directed by Jennifer Pepperman and written by Susan Dansby.

Barbara: Oh, no, you don't. You've been avoiding me.

Henry: No, no. Why would I do that?

Barbara: So you can hold on to all the Stenbeck money probably. Let's make it official. 50% to Paul.

Henry: You don't waste any time, do you, Barbara?

Barbara: Sign it, Henry.

Henry: Here? Now?

Barbara: Mm-hmm. No way to wiggle out of this one. A deal is a deal.

Audrey: Wait a minute. My son is not about to sign anything until his lawyer looks at it. And, in fact, he happens to have an appointment with his lawyer right now, as we speak. So let's go. Excuse me.

Henry: Oy.

Audrey: Okay, listen to me. You need to go to Paul. Do whatever it takes to make sure he lets go of that money.

Henry: Mom, that will be real easy.

Audrey: Well, a lot easier than surviving whatever Ralph will do to you if you don't keep your promise to him. Now, you go. I will, uh, take care of ms. Thing in there.

Henry: How, mom? Mother --

[Whispering]

Mother, you cannot murder

Barbara Ryan.

Audrey: I won't.

Henry: And no drugging. No drugs.

Audrey: Okay, fine. Couldn't I just slip her a little Mickey to make sure she's more cooperative?

Henry: Oh, god. No, no. Would you just promise me, please?

Audrey: Okay, I promise. But how am I suppose to loosen her up enough so she lets go of all that money?

Henry: I don't know. You do whatever you want to do. Just make sure she stays breathing and -- and conscious and not bound and gagged in the boiler room.

Audrey: I can do that.

Emily: Oh, whoa! That's funny. Do you know what we have upstairs?

Paul: Um, a -- a really big bed.

Emily: Would you like to use it? H -- Henry, what are you doing here?

Henry: I don't mean to interrupt. I just need a moment with Paul.

Paul: My brother is so serious. You want some champagne? You are about to be a -- an uncle. You're gonna have a little niece or a little nephew.

Emily: You're not supposed to say anything yet.

Paul: Well, Henry can keep a secret. Can't you, Henry?

Henry: Yeah, sure, whatever. Listen, Paul, um, there's been a -- a misunderstanding regarding inheritance, and I was just -- well, I could really use your help.

Paul: So my mother is pressuring you to split the inheritance 50/50?

Henry: Yeah. Well, you know Barbara. She can be a very forceful woman.

Emily: You got to give her credit for persistence.

Paul: So what's the big misunderstanding?

Henry: What? You have repeatedly stated that you don't want any of James' money, so I was just hoping you could, um, straighten Barbara out.

Paul: Okay.

Henry: Okay? Well, you -- you really don't want the money?

Paul: I'll call her right now, tell her to kill the deal.

Henry: Oh, Paul, that is great. You just made my day. That is great, great news. Thank you so much. And I will just, uh, leave you two to whatever it is you were doing.

Emily: Uh, h -- hold on, Henry. Honey, maybe we should talk about this.

Henry: Uh, Emily, remember now, our father was a bad, bad man.

Emily: Will you stop being so greedy? A 50-50 split of a gazillion dollars seems pretty damn fair to me. I mean, why do you need all that -- Henry, did you blow through that inheritance already?

Henry: No! Of course I haven't! No! Honestly, none of it. I just -- I made certain commitments -- certain obligations to the charity that I'm supporting.

Emily: Oh, to the charity?

Henry: Yes.

Emily: Okay. So why don't you give your 50% to the "charity" and give the rest to your brother.

Henry: No, no, no, no, no. They're expecting all of it, not half of it. And if they don't get what they're expecting, there -- there will be consequences -- um, very big consequences.

Ralph: I, uh -- I hope I'm not intruding.

Henry: Ralph. What are you doing here?

Paul: Friend of yours, Henry?

Ralph: I'm Ralph Manzo. And, uh, you must be Paul and Emily Ryan.

Emily: God. Does anybody ever knock in this house?

Paul: Never.

Emily: No, no. Uh, Stewart, actually. Em -- Emily Stewart. Married, kept my name.

Ralph: Ah. I like that. It's very modern. And, of course, you know my friend Henry here, whose -- whose generosity knows no bounds. Really, he's actually supporting a very worthy organization.

Emily: Huh. That is so funny. We were just talking about that.

Henry: Well, um, I, uh -- I've got to go to metro and do -- do things.

Paul: Shouldn't we finish our discussion? I thought you wanted to deal with this as soon as possible.

Henry: No, no, no. Don't mention it. Um, I'll -- I'll get back to you on that later, okay? Ralph, um, it's always a pleasure to see you.

Ralph: Back at you, Henry.

Henry: Yes, and -- and we'll talk about that charity some -- some other time. Some other time.

Emily: I'm sorry. I'm confused. I thought the two of you were friends.

Ralph: More like business associates.

Henry: Is Barbara drunk?

Audrey: Well -- oh, no, no, no! Just a little tipsy. Um, what happened with Paul?

Henry: Well, we didn't have any success, unfortunately, and I ran into Ralph.

Audrey: What? No! He didn't realize that you made this deal with Barbara, did he?

Henry: No, no, not yet. But it was a scary couple of seconds, I can guarantee you.

Audrey: Okay, don't worry. I think I may have solved our problem. I think I know how to make Barbara let go of that money.

Henry: How?

Audrey: Let's just say that Babs is starved -- sexually starved.

Henry: So, mom?

Audrey: So she is ripe for the plucking.

Henry: Okay. What are you saying? We need to find someone to -- to pluck her?

Audrey: I already did. You.

Henry: What you are suggesting is too cheap and lewd. And what are you, my pimp?

Audrey: No, I am your mom, and I want to see you live till your next birthday.

Henry: What? By having sex with Barbara Ryan?

Audrey: Why not?

Henry: Have you forgotten about Vienna, the woman that I love? Does that mean nothing to you?

Audrey: It means a lot. However, Ralph -- if you don't keep your promise, you know what Ralph will do.

Henry: I know. We'll be in a lot of trouble, sure.

Audrey: No, not we. Not we. You. You're the one that made that stupid deal for the 50/50 split of that inheritance. So I can just toodle on out of town, pack my bags, and leave you holding the bag. So unless you have a better idea, it comes down to this. You sleep with Barbara, or you sleep with the fishes.
