Friday, October 26, 2007 Katie tells Henry that Jack slept with Carly and she asked him for an annulment. Reminding her of Simon, Henry convinces Katie to give Jack another chance. She does, but Jack chooses Carly over her. Today’s episode was directed by Sonia Blangiardo and written by Cheryl Davis.
Transcripts from TVMegasite Henry: All righty. Vienna's got everything covered in the kitchen, so tell me. How are things with Jack? Is everything status quo? Katie: Only if "Status quo" means I'm ending my marriage. Henry: Don't do it.
Henry: Okay. Okay. Let's put our heads together and see if we can find out some kind of way to save your marriage. Katie: There's nothing to save, Henry. Jack's living with Carly. Jack's heart is with Carly. There's no use in even pretending I have a marriage. Henry: You still love him, though. You're not pretending about that. Katie: No. But I don't know how he feels about me. He slept with Carly -- after we got married. Henry: Well, that -- that hurts. Katie: Yeah. Henry: Yeah. I hate to be the bearer or reminder of bad karma, but have you forgotten that you slept with Simon when you were married to Mike? Katie: Yeah, one of the worst mistakes of my life. Mike's the one I really loved. Henry: Yeah, yeah. So what if Carly is Jack's Simon? What if you're the one he really loves?
Katie: Thanks. He couldn't even try to meet me halfway. Henry: I'm so sorry. If there's anything Vienna and I can do -- Parker: Hi, Katie, Henry. Katie: Hi, Parker. Henry: Hey, Kiddo. What can get for you? Parker: I came to get my mom some of Vienna’s Swedish soup. Henry: Ooh, that's good. It's good stuff. It's full of vitamins and it's guaranteed to cure whatever ails you. I'll go get that. Parker: Yeah, and could you throw in a cookie for my little sister? Henry: Yeah, you got it. You got it, you got it. Parker: Thanks. Katie: So, what are the final plans for Halloween? Parker: Well, Sage and J.J. and I are going to a party. Katie: Oh, would you be sure and take a picture of all of you guys together? I really want to see you all dressed up. Oh, and the designer gave me this optional headpiece for Sage's costume. I don't know she's even gonna want it. I think I have it here somewhere. Parker: Why aren't you wearing your wedding ring?
Katie: I'm not wearing my ring because Jack and I aren't married anymore. Parker: Just like that? Katie: Yeah. Sorry, I know it's hard to understand, but he needs to spend more time with your mom and you kids right now, so it's not really working out for us. Parker: But you -- but you were his wife. Katie: Right, I know. But not anymore. But I want you to know that I will always be here for you and your brother and sister. I mean, you won't need me, probably, but I'll be here. This is just best for everyone. Henry: Here you go, Pal. Parker: How much is it? Henry: It's on the house. Parker: Okay. Thank you. I just want you to know that I really like you. We all do. But -- Katie: I know. I know. And it's okay. Get that soup home before it gets cold.
