Monday, October 26, 2009 Katie has delivered the baby in captivity and Brad has been shot - by Jack! Henry is with Katie at the hospital and tries to keep her from finding out that Brad is fighting for his life. Maddie tries to comfort him, and Audrey tries to get "her half" of the money. He gives her the check because money is the last thing he cares about right now. Today’s episode was directed by Jennifer Pepperman and written by Gordon Rayfield.
Transcripts from TVMegasite Brad: Oh, no, no, no, no. No. My son's alive. I just heard him crying, okay? I need -- I have to see him, damn it! All right? I have to see if he's okay! Jack: Police. Henry: Katie? [Gunshots] [Baby crying] Henry: Oh, my god. The baby. Jack: Over there. Katie: Brad. He was here. I heard him. Henry: Yeah. We're gonna call him as soon as you're okay. You did good, bubbles. You did real good. Jack, what's going on? Jack: Oh, no. No!
Jack: Brad, I need you to keep breathing. The medics are almost here. Henry: Is that Ralph? He's not dead? Jack: No, it's not Ralph! Henry: Who is it? Brad: Where is Katie? Where's Katie? Jack: She's okay. She's okay. Brad: Make sure she's okay. Did you get Manzo? Jack: He was here? Brad: He kidnapped her. Jack: Okay. All right. No more talking, all right? Henry: Is that brad? Is he here? Is he all right? Brad: Tell Katie that I'm okay. She has enough to worry about. Jack: I will. Brad: Yeah. I feel so funky. Jack: Yeah, I know. Brad. Brad. Brad, you got to stay with me, please! Jack: Stay with me! Henry: Is he hurt? [Police sirens wailing] Jack: How's Katie? Henry: She's out. Margo: Jack, are you in here? Jack: Margo! Jack! There's a shooter who may still be on the premises, and I got two people who need medics. Margo: Hey, sweep this place and give me a two-block perimeter! You, with me! Oh, Katie! Jack: I need a medic over here! Henry: Katie's out. She's lost a lot of blood, but the baby seems okay. Margo: The baby! Henry: Yeah, yeah. It's Katie's. Margo: Oh. She did it all by herself? Henry: Looks like it. Margo: Oh, my god. Take care of both of them. Medic: Detective, we can take it from here. Jack: He lost a lot of blood. Margo: Jack, what's your brother doing here? Medic: I need the detective to stand down so we can work on him. Margo: Come on. He's got to do his job. Did brad come with you? Jack: He came on his own. We didn't know he was here. When we got here, it was dark. We were fired on when we got in. Margo: Was it Ralph Manzo? Jack: That's what brad said. He said he kidnapped Katie. Margo: Yeah, I know that. Did Manzo shoot brad? Jack: No. Margo: I need your weapon, jack. Henry: No, no, no, no, no. It's self-defense. Ralph shot first. Jack: It's all right. Margo: I'm sure it was clean. Jack: I shot my brother. Katie: Where's my baby? Henry: He's with the EMT. He's safe. Katie: You have to tell brad he has a son. Margo: Yeah. You're gonna be okay now, honey. Katie: Margo? Margo: Yeah, yeah. They're gonna take you to the hospital, and you're gonna be just fine. Katie: You'll call brad. Margo: Yeah. We'll tell brad as soon as we can.
Doctor: She lost a lot of blood. Henry: Is she gonna be okay? Doctor: We're still running tests. Margo: What about the baby? Doctor: He was premature, and the delivery was traumatic. Margo: But he's gonna make it? Doctor: We think so. Margo: Okay. Where is he? Doctor: In the neonatal ICU. Margo: Okay, good. Thank god. Thank you, doctor. Henry: Thank you. At least Katie doesn't have to deal with the shock of knowing about brad. Margo: Oh, my god. What a way for that little guy to come in to the world. Henry: It's all my fault. Margo: Do you really want to do this? Let's not. Henry: Look Margo, do whatever you have to to me, okay? You can arrest me. You can torture me. You can lock me away for the rest of my life. I don't care. I just want everyone to be okay. Margo: You should have thought of that before you got Katie involved in this. Henry: I know that! Margo: You just better hope everything comes out okay. Henry: Oh.
Alison: Hey. Henry: Hey. Alison: One of the nurses just told us that brad was shot and Katie delivered her baby all by herself. Henry: Yeah, that's right. Alison: What the hell happened? Henry: I don't even know where to start. Alison: Where are they? Henry: Brad is in surgery and the child is in intensive care and Katie's in there. Alison: Okay. I'm gonna go check on her. Dusty: Was it Ralph Manzo? Henry: Yeah. Yeah, it was horrible. Because of me, he kidnapped her, and then he left her alone in this warehouse. Dusty: She had the baby in a warehouse? Henry: Yeah, and then jack and I got there, and he was holding on to brad, and then he started shooting. Dusty: Did they catch him? Henry: He got away. They're looking for him right now, though.
Katie: Henry. Henry: Hey. How you doing? Katie: Where's my baby? Henry: He's fine. He's fine. The doctor and the nurses, they're taking great care of him. Katie: What about brad? Henry: He's fine, too. Katie: Is he with our son? Oh. Oh, I wish I could have been there when he first saw him. Henry: You will be. Katie: What? Henry: Yeah, you -- all three of you will have so much time together. You really will. Just, I need you to close your eyes. There you go. Close your eyes, and you get some rest now, sweetie. Katie: Henry, I'm so tired. Henry: Yeah.
Katie: Brad. Alison: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Lie still, Katie. Katie: Where is he? Henry: He knows you're here. He's just -- he's concerned about the little boy right now. Katie: Oh, did you see him, Henry? He looks just like brad. Henry: Lucky kid. Katie: Can I see him? Alison: First you have to get stronger. Katie: But he needs me. I'm his mother. Alison: Don't worry. We are spoiling him rotten, and as soon as you rest up, you can take over, okay? Don't worry. Katie: Okay. You are lucky I'm so sleepy. Henry: Why? Katie: Because if I had any more strength, I'd wring your neck. Henry: You'll have plenty of time to strangle me later. Right now you just need to get some sleep, okay? Katie: I know. I'm just so blah.
Katie: Hey. Is that my boy? Alison: He insisted on seeing his mom. Katie: Can I hold him? Henry: I think we should wait till you're stronger. Katie: He's okay, though, right? Alison: He's doing really great. He's a fighter. Katie: Just like his daddy. Where is he? Henry: He probably assumed you were asleep, otherwise I'm sure he'd be in here right now. Katie: Well, will you find him? The three of us should be together right now. Henry: Yeah. That's not a problem. [Door closes] Maddie: Henry, are you all right? Henry: Yeah. I'm fine. Don't worry about me. Maddie: I need to talk to you.
Maddie: You sure you're okay? Henry: Yeah. Besides practically destroying my best friend's life, sure. Maddie: You didn't do this. Henry: It wouldn't have happened without me. Maddie: Henry. Henry: Don't. Please don't. Don't comfort me. I don't deserve that. Maddie: Too bad. I'm doing it anyway. Henry: Maddie.
Katie: Where is he? Henry: No. Unh-unh-unh. What are you doing out of bed? Katie: I'm looking for brad. Henry: I told you I would find him. Katie: Why were jack and Janet here? Henry: They came here to see you! Katie: No, they didn't. Henry, tell me what the hell is going on. Henry: I told you, jack and Janet, they came here to see you, and they were given the wrong information, and they thought that you weren't receiving visitors right now, and so they went down to talk to the doctor, okay? Maddie: Katie, you shouldn't be getting out of bed. Henry: No. Katie: I just don't understand why brad isn't here. Where is he? Henry: I told you. Katie: No, you didn't. Henry: Katie, he's a new father. Where do you think he is. Katie: Okay. But please tell him I'm not sleeping and I want to see him. Henry: I will.
Henry: What are you doing here? How did you get out? Audrey: Shh! Please, just keep your voice down. I promised lieutenant Hughes that I would lead her to Ralph. Henry: Are you crazy? He will kill you! Audrey: Yes, I know. That's why I'm not going to do that. Henry: Isn't that what your little friend here is going to make sure that you do? Audrey: He is only there until I don't want him to be there. Henry: Great, great. You're going to lam it on attempted murder charges. That's wonderful, mother. Audrey: What other choice do I have? Henry: I don't know. I don't care. This is your problem, not mine. Audrey: Not if lieutenant Hughes has her way. Henry: Are you threatening to flip on me? Audrey: No! I am just simply asking for your help. Henry: What kind of help, mom? Audrey: I want my half of your inheritance. Henry: Your half? Audrey: Yes, my half. We were partners from the beginning in everything. Henry: Are you really trying to threaten me with that? The love of my life is gone, my two best friends are on death's door, and it's your fault! Audrey: I think there is plenty of blame going around here, don't you? Henry: I don't care about that, okay? I just want you to leave, and I never want you to come back, all right? Audrey: Okay, fine. If that's what you really want, then that's what I'll do, because I've always tried to do what's best for my children. Henry: Oh, please. Audrey: Okay, son, look. I just want some traveling money, okay? I want my share of your inheritance. I happen to know that Barbara released that money, so just give it to me in cash, and you will never, ever have to see me again.
