BJ's high school-themed Halloween party is in full-swing, as is his plan to get Katie alone.

Maddie is talking to Mike and Katie, trying to get them to leave.  Henry arrives, dressed in a cape with a drawn-on mustache and slicked back hair.  "Your sister's causing trouble," BJ tells him.  "What kind of trouble?" asks Henry.  "She had a picture of Byron," reports BJ.  "In all your high school glory?" asks Henry.  "She showed it to Mike, okay. Almost told him the whole story, even Katie," says BJ.  "All right, okay, I'm sorry if she nearly stole your thunder there, but you are planning to tell Katie tonight anyway, right?" asks Henry.  "Well, I have very special plans," says BJ.  "I know," sighs Henry.  "Well then, put your sister on leash, okay? This is my night. I don't want anyone to ruin it," says BJ.

Maddie feels Katie's forehead and says, "You feel warm and you're flushed."  "You just said she looked pale," says Mike.  "Pale, then flushed. This is bad," warns Maddie.  "Maddie, I'm fine. Why do you want me to leave this party?" asks Katie.  Henry interrupts and whisks Maddie away, saying, "Hey! You kids mingle, I need a word with this one."

Alone in a corner of the room, Maddie says, "B.J. Is cooking something up for Katie, I can feel it."  "Yes, he is," agrees Henry.  "You -- well, you know?" asks Maddie.  "Yeah, and it's not some sinister plot, Maddie. Tonight, B.J. Is going to tell Katie who he really is," says Henry.  "Really?" asks Maddie.  "Really, really, really. It's all been planned. Hey, come on, you've been bugged for weeks that he wouldn't come clean. Tonight, he's finally going to do it," says Henry.  "That's not all," says Maddie.  "I know, I know it's not. What can we do? This is his big moment. He thinks she's not going to shoot him down, but she is going to shoot him down. Then he'll be crushed and then, it'll all be over with. Okay?" says Henry.  "Okay," sighs Maddie.  "All right, let's just hope that he doesn't respond by leaving town with my fabulous salary. You stay out of his way," warns Henry.  "I will leave them all alone, all right?" agrees Maddie.  "All of them? What, and pout in the corner? Come on, kitten, have some fun. Are there some friends from school here? Go out there, get in some trouble," says Henry, pushing her toward the crowd.  "I'm going!" says Maddie, going to mingle.  BJ arrives and asks Henry if he took care of Maddie.  "Yeah, she won't be in your way. Don't worry about it," says Maddie.  "Okay. You know what to do," says BJ.  "Yeah, I know what to do. But listen, Beej, Katie's in love with Mike," says Henry.  "You just do your part, Henry. I'll take my chances," says BJ.  "I feel for you, pal," sighs Henry.

BJ calls everyone to attention and explains the rules of the game "Assassin."  They've all been given an envelope containing the name of the person they're supposed to "kill" by pinning a tag on them.  Mike got Henry and Katie got BJ.  They realize that BJ set it all up, but agree to play along so they can leave.  Henry catches Mike's eye and sneaks away, luring him to the basement.  Mike grabs a flashlight and looks around, calling for Henry.  "Henry? C'mon, man. I'm in no mood to play this game. Let me just tag you so Katie and I can get out of here," he says.  Henry shuts the door in a jail-like area, trapping Mike inside.  "Sorry, Mike," he says.  "Not funny," says Mike.  "Well, good thing it's not a joke then, is it?" says Henry.  "Let me out of here," demands Mike.  "I can't, Mike," says Henry reluctantly.  "Henry, what is this? Henry, where's Katie? Henry! Where is Katie?" asks Mike.

Meanwhile, Katie has followed BJ upstairs to his bedroom, which she realizes is decorated like her high school prom.  She finds the dress she wore to her prom lying on the bed.  BJ appears and Katie finally recognizes him as her former classmate, Byron Glass.

Today’s episode was directed by Jennifer Pepperman and written by Melissa Salmons.
