Nanny Henry makes another appearance today, much to Jack's annoyance!

Carly is getting ready to leave when Jack comes home unexpectedly.  He tells her he has a ton of paperwork to do so he thought he'd do it at home so he could be with her and Sage.  She tells him she's on her way to visit Mike, and "Sage's favorite babysitter" is on the way.  "Him again?" asks Jack as the doorbell rings.  Carly opens the door to Henry and Jack reluctantly tells him to come in.  Carly hands Sage to Henry and tells her to keep an eye on these two boys.  She leaves and Henry asks Jack, "Aren't you supposed to be out serving and protecting?"  "I am," answers Jack, "A cop doesn't have to be out in the field to work on a case."  Henry asks him what case he's working on, and Jack tells him it's Mike's hit and run.  Henry says he thought that case was closed, and Jack tells him he's wrong.  Henry protests that the trail has gone cold, he can't solve that now because it's been too long since it happened.  "You sound pretty sure of yourself.  Is there something you want to tell me?" asks the detective.

"Out with it Henry, do you know something about Mike's accident?" questions Jack.  "No, of course not," answers Henry.  "It's just that it's been a long time.  As everyone knows, the longer a crime remains unsolved the less likely it ever will be."  "Everyone?  Who told you that?" asks Jack.  "I over heard it at the library," answers Henry.  Jack tells him he was trained to follow every lead.  Sitting down next to him on the couch, Henry asks Jack, "So why don't you tell Sage and me how this is going to work?"  Jack asks why he cares, and Henry tells him he once considered a career in law enforcement, "If you can't beat 'em..."    Jack explains that he has all the tire receipts matching the tracks at the accident, and he's going to go through them all.  "There's a lot of them, our little Sage here is going to be a Congresswoman by the time you get through them all," observes Henry.  Jack explains that someone has developed a system that makes it almost easy, although it will still take him a long time, "So if you don't mind..."  "Sure, I don't want to get in the way here.  Heaven forbid I be the one to stand in the way of justice," says Henry reluctantly, knowing that that's exactly what he wants to do!

Henry comes downstairs and announces, "Her gloriousness is asleep."  Jack comments that that was quick, and Henry says he just hummed one of Kenny G's greatest hits.  Henry asks how it's going, and Jack mutters, "Good."  Henry asks if he can help, and Jack says, "Yes, shut up!"  The phone rings and Jack answers it; it's Margo.  He tells Henry, "It's what we police call 'It's none of your damn business so get the hell out.'"  Henry says he'll just go make himself a sandwich.  Jack goes back to the phone and suddenly Henry cries out in pain, clutching at his back.

Jack asks him what it is and Henry says it's nothing, just a back spasm, as he continues to cry out.  Jack asks him to spasm a little quieter.  Henry explains that he's had these before, but never this bad.  He just needs to sit down and rest, take a few deep breaths.  He collapses on the couch and Jack takes the phone into the kitchen for some peace and quiet.  Henry goes to Jack's laptop only to find it's blocked.  He cries out again, then goes back to muttering to himself that the progress Jack is making can't be good for Katie.  He decides to look through the receipts and destroy anything that might be incriminating.  Jack comes back and catches him, saying, "What do you think you're doing?"  Startled, Henry drops the receipts and tries to act innocent.  "I thought you were busy having a back spasm," says Jack.  Henry says he was just going to his chiropractor's website for advice.  Jack asks him what he was doing with the receipts, and Henry says he was feeling guilty for making Jack leave the room so he thought he'd help out by alphabetizing them.  Jack says he can help him pick them up.  "I don't want you hanging around here.  Go upstairs, watch Sage, do anything, just get out of my face!"  Suddenly Jack stops and looks at the receipt in his hand, shocked.  "What is it?  Detective?" asks Henry, worried.  "Oh my God," says Jack.

Back at his laptop, Jack mutters that it's incredible, everything matches.  Sneaking up behind him, Henry looks at the papers and says, "Nancy Hughes?"  Jack angrily tells him he wasn't supposed to see that, it's confidential.  "Sorry," apologizes Henry, "But as long as I'm here, why, why would Nancy Hughes run down Mike Kasnoff?"  Jack answers that he's not accusing her of anything, but the tires and the car match, and she had some work done on it.  "Wow, that's so incriminating," says Henry, trying to hide his delight.  Jack tells him he can't say a word to anyone about this.  "I won't breathe a syllable," Henry assures him.  "But if I may offer my opinion, Nancy Hughes is a legend in this town, right?  A respectable, upstanding woman.  But if she's responsible for this heinous crime, she must be prosecuted to the fullest extend of the law."

Today’s episode was directed by Michael Eilbaum and written by Craig Heller.
