Tuesday, November 10, 2009 Brad accompanies Henry to Katie's appointment at the hospital with Jacob. He tries to get Henry to ask the doctor about Jacob's congestion and rash, but Margo quickly escorts him to the hospital to question him about Manzo. Henry is unable to answer the questions or be of any help because Brad is distracting him. So Margo arrests him. Today’s episode was directed by Michael Eilbaum and written by Gordon Rayfield.
Transcripts from TVMegasite [Baby cries] Henry: I think I finally lost him. Oh, god! Will you stop doing that?! Brad: Where were you? Jacob's in there getting a checkup and asking questions for the doctor. Henry: No one can hear you, remember? Brad: Except you. Which is why I need you in there. Henry: Brad, Brad, you need to back off, okay? Brad: I am still his father. Henry: And you are dead? Brad: Do you have to keep reminding me? Henry: Fine, fine. What are the questions? Brad: Okay, I know they said that he was breathing heavy this morning when he was sleeping. I think that he is congested. Henry: Okay, dr. Invisible. Is there anything else? Brad: He's getting a rash. Henry: A rash? Brad: Can you please ask the doctor to look into it? Henry: You know what Katie will do if I go in there. Brad: We'll deal with it. Henry: What do you mean we'll deal with it? No one knows you're there, remember? Brad: You're right, you're right. It's hopeless. Henry: I'm sorry, but that is the first thing that made any sense coming out of your mouth in days. Now, look, you just need to work on disappearing, all right? Brad: I have a better idea. You convince Katie that I'm real. Henry: No, no. Not again. I tried that. You saw me. Brad: Try harder. Henry: No. She won't even look at me. Brad: No. We just need to find a way to convince her to -- just to listen, okay? I think I know something. Henry: Oh, god! Brad: You need to -- listen. You need to tell her "I'm not checking out until the cubs win the series." Henry: You want me to talk baseball? Brad: No! No, listen. It's something I said right before I died. No one was there. She -- she'd have to realize that the only way that you can know about it is if you heard it from me. Henry: Do you know how crazy this is? Brad: Write it down so you get it exactly right. "I'm not checking out until the cubs win the series." Henry: Okay, okay. Brad: Right? Henry: Yes. Brad: Okay. Now go deliver the message. Come on. [Henry groans]
Henry: Hello, Katie. Hello, Margo. Nice to see how. Margo: I was just about to call you. Henry: Well, I -- I'm here now. Margo: Where you shouldn't be. Henry: You wouldn't be saying that if you knew who sent me here. Margo: All right, I'll bite. Who is it? Henry: It's Brad. He sent me here with a special message for Katie. Margo: You are out of here. Henry: I know you don't believe me, Katie. Margo: Stop. Let's go. Henry: Would you just listen to me, please? I'm trying, I'm trying! Margo: I said go.
Henry: The baby is congested. Margo: Yeah? How do you know that? Henry: And he has a rash. Margo: Where? Henry: Brad didn't tell me, okay? Margo: Yeah, that's what I thought. I know what you're doing. Henry: No, what I'm doing -- I'm trying to talk to Katie! Margo: You're trying to lay the groundwork for your insanity defense. Henry: No, I am not. My defense for what? Margo: Your involvement in the Manzo crimes. Henry: What? I did everything I could to stop that! Margo: You are an accomplice in money laundering. Henry: It was my money. All I was trying to do was hide it from Vienna. Margo: Well, I'm sure that's not all Manzo was trying to do. Henry: Yes, I realize that. And once I found out who the guy was, I did everything I could to stop him. Margo: Well, it wasn't enough. Henry: Don't you think I know that. Margo: But it's not too late, Henry. Henry: What does that mean? Margo: I'll explain it to you when you come down to the station with me. Henry: Oh, oh, come on. Can't we just do this here? Margo: No, no, no, no, no. Henry: Then just please let me talk to Katie about the rash. Margo: I'm sure that the chief of staff can diagnose a diaper rash without your help.
Margo: Testify against Manzo. [Henry laughs] Henry: Are you kidding, Margo? [Laughs] Margo: I need a witness, and no one will come forward, Henry. Henry: Maybe that's because no one wants to end up floating facedown in lake Michigan. Margo: Do you have any idea of the charges you're up against? Conspiracy, fraud, racketeering, money laundering, kidnapping, attempted murder. Henry: No, no, no, no, no. I had nothing to do with the Barbara Ryan incident, and it was my mother's idea for the money laundering, and I did everything I could to find Katie. Margo: You go down on any one of those charges, and you're facing life in prison. Henry: You know I'm not a criminal! Why are you making me out to be the scapegoat here?! Margo: Because my sister's husband is dead, and her son is gonna grow up without a father. All right? So either we get Manzo or we have you. Henry: All right, all right, all right. I'll -- I'll testify. Margo: Great. I'll take your statement. Henry: Fine. What do you want to know? Margo: Everything. Brad: Oh, thank god I found you! Jacob lost Mr. Cub! Henry: What are you, out of your mind?! Margo: What did you just say to me? Henry: Uh, nothing. Uh, nothing. Uh, what -- what were we talking about? Margo: Ralph Manzo. Brad: Mr. Cub. Henry: Who? Brad: The bear that I bought Jacob. Margo: Don't get cute with me, Henry. Brad: He was left at the hospital. Do you have any idea what would happen if he doesn't have it? Henry: What will happen? Margo: Oh, we already went through all of this. Tell me what you know about Ralph Manzo. Brad: He will not be able to stop crying, okay? And that will drive Katie crazy. Henry: You know what? You're starting to drive me crazy! Margo: Are you really gonna go with that? Henry: No, I didn't mean you. I didn't mean you. Margo: Well, then, who did you mean? Brad: Tell her. Go ahead. Henry: Uh -- my mother, my mother, my mother. Just driving me crazy! Margo: Are you gonna testify or not? Brad: Are you gonna find Mr. Cub or not? Henry: I can't right now! Margo: You know what? This is your last chance. Henry: I know that, Margo. Margo: All right, then answer my questions. When did you meet Ralph Manzo? Henry: Uh, my mother introduced us. Margo: Why? Henry: Because she said that he could help me keep the inheritance without Vienna finding out. Margo: I need details, Henry. The whole scheme. Brad: Katie needs you. She's all alone. She doesn't have anyone else, Henry. Henry: I can't help you! Brad: Fine, fine. Just forget I asked. Margo: We're finished here. Henry: No, wait, wait. Margo: Where do you think you're going? Oh, no, no. Henry: Ow, ow! Margo, you're hurting my arm. Margo: All right. Just sit back down. Henry Coleman, you're under arrest. Henry: What?! Margo: I told you if you didn't cooperate. Henry: I am trying! I'm trying! Margo: You're not trying hard enough.
Margo: I told you, I know what you're up to, hearing ghosts, seeing voices. You're trying to set up an insanity plea. Well, don't expect me to help you with that. Henry: I'm -- I'm not trying to -- I want to cooperate. Margo: Forget it. A deal's off the table. Henry: Margo -- Margo, please. Margo: Listen. All I need to do right now is keep you away from my sister. Henry: No, no, no. Don't do this. Don't do this. Margo: Henry Coleman, you're under arrest. You have the right to remain silent. Henry: I don't want to remain silent! Margo: Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law.
Margo: Maybe Brad could defend you. Maybe watching you listening to people who aren't really there will convince the judge that you're crazy. Make your call, Henry. [Henry sighs] Maddie: This is Maddie. Leave a message. [Voicemail beeps] Henry: Hey, it's me. Listen, uh, I -- I don't want to dump all my problems on you -- so I won't. I'll talk to you later. Brad -- Brad, how about popping up there, buddy? Great, Coleman. Way to go. You have only one friend left in the world, and he's dead, and even he doesn't want to talk to you.
