Tuesday, November 12, 2002 It's morning in Oakdale, and Henry hits the breakfast buffet at the Lakeview Lounge with his new best friend and constant companion, Rosanna. He tells her he was up half the night thinking about her theory. "Only half the night?" asks Rosanna. "Well, it's a little far fetched, don't you think?" says Henry. "Carly waited a long time to land officer Jack and that shiny badge. It's bad enough that she would sleep with someone the night before the big day, but to do it with her cousin's boyfriend? That's a bit tacky, don't you think?" "Tacky is Carly's middle name. She's always been a cheap little tramp without an ounce of class," snaps Rosanna. Henry reminds Rosanna that Mike looks at Molly "like she's part of the buffet." Why would he risk that? Rosanna confesses that this is not the first time Carly and Mike have been unable to keep their hands off each other. "Pray tell," says Henry eagerly. Rosanna explains that seven years ago Carly did exactly the same thing with the same man, only she was the Molly in Mike's life. "At least she's keeping it in the family," says Henry as he takes a bite of food. He realizes how insensitive that sounds and apologizes, saying, "It must be very hard for you, I'm sorry." "Don't be," Rosanna reassures him. Carly will lose her husband, her best friend, and her happiness. "I don't know what they call that where you come from, Henry, but I call it a triple play." "Tell me, oh wealthy one, you divined Mike was Carly's paramour by..." says Henry. Rosanna completes his sentence with "the look in his eye." "Ah yes, the look, how silly of me," says Henry sarcastically. Rosanna explains that when she asked Mike about Carly, he had a glazed expression in his eyes. "I must have blinked," says Henry. Rosanna admits that a look isn't proof. "What is?" asks Henry, "A nice 8 by 10 glossy of the happy couple in their skivvies?" "That's where you come in," agrees Rosanna. Henry tells her to forget it, the only photographic equipment at the office was an old security camera, "circa the Matthew Brady era. If you opened it up you might get a nice picture of Ulysses S. Grant." "A security camera? With a tape inside?" asks Rosanna hopefully. "I assume," answers Henry. "Don't assume, find out! If I have Mike walking through the lobby..." begins Rosanna. "Then you have Mike walking through the lobby," continues Henry. "That's not even going to get you past a G rating." Rosanna comments that she can find someone else to do this job, which of course convinces Henry to go along. "OK, Rosanna, one video surveillance camera coming up." "That's more like it," says Rosanna happily as she gets up to leave. Henry asks her if this meeting is adjourned, and Rosanna says it is unless he happens to know Craig's whereabouts. "I thought he was out remaking 'The Fugitive,'" says Henry as they both laugh. "I'm longing to stick a pin in his over-inflated ego," says Rosanna. "You're having a five star day," comments Henry. Rosanna says she can't wait to see the look in Craig's eyes when she tells him, "He's not even Carly's second choice, he's dropped like a stone to number three. Happy hunting!" she says as she leaves the lounge. "Wow," says Henry, impressed. Today’s episode was directed by Michael Eilbaum and written by Judith Donato.
