Thursday, December 3, 2009 Brad asks Henry to help him get rid of Simon, but Henry thinks Simon might be good for Katie. So Brad takes matters into his own hands and sets off the alarm at the house. The police show up and Katie tells Simon to hide. Instead, Henry is arrested for breaking the restraining order. But Simon convinces Katie to drop the charges. Today’s episode was directed by Jennifer Pepperman and written by David A Levinson.
Transcripts from TVMegasite Henry: "Travels well." So does Simon. Hey -- [Sighs] Brad: Just the guy I was looking for. Henry: Hey, Buddy. Brad: What's that? Henry: Nothing. Uh, you're looking for me? What's going on? Brad: I was just thinking how much I wish you could join me on the other side. Henry: Wow. I'm flattered that you want to spend the rest of eternity in my presence. Brad: Don't be, because what I'm really trying to say is I would like to kill you! How could you not tell me that Simon Frasier was back and hiding out in my house?! Henry: Uh, yeah, that. You, uh -- you saw him? Brad: I saw him! What a total sleazebag. Henry: He's not a complete sleazebag. He's acting really charming, actually. Brad: Oh, you think it's charming of him taking advantage of Katie, who just lost the love of her life? Which -- hello, was me, not him! Henry: He's not gonna take advantage of Katie. Brad: O -- okay, well, then, why was he telling her to move on with her life, to forget about me and move on? Henry: Isn't that what you want her to do? Brad: No! I mean -- yes. I mean not yet, and not with him. Henry, you've got to get Simon away from Katie.
Brad: You really think Simon is what Katie needs right now? Henry: I think Simon, uh, was her first love, her first everything, really, and he's always gonna have a big part of her heart. But your place is obviously much bigger. Brad: You got that right. Henry: Yeah, of course. But if it makes her feel a little bit better, isn't that what's important here? Brad: He's taking apart my stove, Henry. Henry: I really don't know what that means. Uh, I got it. You -- you want to move your foot there, Buddy? Because it's gonna look really weird if I can't pick this up. Brad: "Love of Katie's life. Father of her baby. Alive. Travels well." You made a list comparing me to Simon? Henry: Not me. The list was for Katie. Brad: Katie does not need a list, Henry. She would choose me over that walking dingo any day of the week. Henry: Well, she can't choose you, can she, because you are dead. Brad: Okay, you tell me something. Are you the one that asked him to come back here?! Henry: No, no. I would never do that. Brad: Oh, you mean out of your overwhelming sense of loyalty to me?! Henry: The man is on the run from the law, okay? I know he's probably not the best choice -- Brad: Probably?! Are you serious?! He's a crook, man! He's a thief, and he's a liar! He hurt her once. He'll hurt her again. She's -- and she's really vulnerable right now, Henry! Henry: What do you expect him to do, convince her to run away with him? Brad: Well, why not? He convinced Carly. Henry: Carly didn't have a newborn to think about. Brad: Oh -- oh, yeah. And what about that? Jacob, huh? What kind of influence do you think he's gonna be with his sticky fingers and his phony accent? Henry: I -- I happen to know the accent is real. Brad: You need to tell him -- you need to -- look, you need to tell Katie to send him packing. Henry: I can't. Brad: Why not? Henry: Oh, Lord, sing it with me, people -- restraining order. Brad: That's it? You call the cops, okay? He's a wanted felon. You just tell them where to find him. Henry: Simon is a friend, and I'm not gonna rat him out. And I am not gonna take somebody else away that Katie cares about. Brad: Oh, you mean like you did with me? I thought you were my friend, Henry. Henry: I am. Brad: That's fine, man. That's fine. You don't want to help me? I'll do it myself. Henry: Brad? Brad? [Sighs] Brad? [Mumbles] No. No, no, no, no.
[Alarm blaring] Katie: Aah! Henry: My God, I'm too late. Uh, what?! W -- what's going on? Simon: Henry, close the door, Mate. Henry: Wait. Sorry, sorry, sorry. Is there an off button for that thing? Katie: Yeah. We don't even know who set it off. What are you looking at?! Please do not tell me you see Brad. Simon: Katie, please try the code again. Katie: I -- it's not working! Damn it! Henry: Just tear it off the wall. Katie: You need to go. Simon: Why? Katie: Because it's wired to the police station. The cops are gonna be here any minute. Go! Get your stuff! Go, go, go, go, go! Simon: Just -- Brad: G'day, Mate. [Katie groans]
Margo: So, what happened here? Katie: I don't know. It just went off. We couldn't get it to stop. Margo: Oh, I see. Wait. W -- what are you doing here? Henry: Well, I was walking by, and I heard the alarm, and I -- I was worried about Katie. Margo: Really? You heard the alarm all the way from outside? Henry: It was very loud. Margo: That's a very weak explanation. So you have no idea what sent that off? Katie: No, none. Brad: Go on, Henry. Tell them I'm the one that set it off. Henry: Would you -- tsk, tsk, tsk, tsk, tsk, tsk! Big -- there's a big fly in here. Brad: Tell them, Henry. Tell them, tell them, tell them, tell them, tell them -- Henry: Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay! [Sighs] I did it. I set off the alarm. Brad: You did not. You liar. Katie: W -- why? Henry: Because I wanted to see you and make sure you were okay, but I couldn't do that because of the restraining order. Katie: Oh, my God. You really crossed the line on this one. Margo: Oh, I think this is a return trip for Mr. Coleman. Henry: Look, I know it sounds bad -- Katie: "Sounds bad"? Henry: I -- I'm so sorry. I'm really sorry, all right? Katie: Oh, do you know how over all your apologies I am? Margo: Oh, man, I'm so glad to hear that. Now we can make sure you never bother my sister again. Brad: Why are you lying to them? Just tell them what's really going on! Henry: I am trying to protect you. Katie: I don't need your protection. Margo: Yeah, you do need protection -- from him. Henry: Look, I -- no, I'm not the problem here, all right?! Margo: Then who is?! I'm waiting. Brad: Henry, tell Margo that Simon is here.
Brad: You owe me, man. Look, if you don't tell Margo that Simon is here, hiding out at my house -- Henry: I know, I know, I know. Katie: You know what? Henry: I know how bad this looks. Margo: Well, good for you. But if you are not the problem, who is? Henry: It's -- it's more like a "what." Brad: Don't do it, Henry. Margo: What does "What" mean? Henry: I had no choice because of the restraining order. Brad: Traitor! Margo: Henry -- Henry: Oh -- Margo: -- You purposely set off a false alarm, and you knowingly violated said restraining order. And so, Henry, I am taking you downtown. Henry: Oh, you've got to be kidding me. Brad: Good. You deserve it. Henry: This is all your fault. Katie: My fault? Henry: I wasn't talking to you. Oy!
Margo: You -- you want to what? Katie: I want to drop the charges against Henry and the restraining order. Margo: Why do you want to do that? You don't want to do that. Katie: Yes, I do. Margo: Why? Katie: Because I just don't see the point to it anymore. Margo: The point is the guy is irrational and unpredictable, and -- and he has violated the restraining order I don't know how many times. Katie: I know what he's done, Margo. Margo: And you're not worried about that? Katie: No, I'm not. Margo: Well, that scares me. Katie: You know, I don't want to fight with you. I don't want to fight with anyone, especially Henry. I just -- I want this whole thing to be over, the sooner the better. Margo: So you're ready to forgive him? Katie: I don't know if I'll ever be ready for that, but I don't want him in jail. He was my friend at one time. So please just let him go. Margo: [Sighs] Lewis? Henry Coleman is in interrogation. Tell him he's free to go. Lewis: You got it, Lieutenant. Katie: Thank you, Margo. [Margo sighs] Henry: I'm really free to go? Margo: Uh-huh. Henry: Thank you, Margo. Thank you for being so understanding about this. Margo: Oh, Henry, I'm not understanding. If it were up to me, you wouldn't be going anywhere. Henry: Well, I don't understand it. My -- Katie. Katie -- Katie, wait, wait. Please wait. Katie: I don't want to talk to you, Henry. I just want to get home to my son. Henry: I just want to thank you, all right, 'cause I know -- I know what you did couldn't have been easy. Katie: No, it wasn't. Henry: Great. This could be a good thing for us, okay? This -- this could be a first step. Katie: A first step toward what? Henry: All right, I'm -- I'm just gonna say it, all right, Sweetie? I, uh -- I miss you, and I miss being your friend. Katie: Well, I'm sorry you feel that way, but I don't. Henry: No, you really -- you don't really mean that. Katie: Yes, I do. Don't tell me what I mean or what I'm thinking. I'm not just gonna forgive and forget. I cannot get over the fact that Brad is dead. Henry: I'm not asking you to do that. Katie: Yes, you are! The only reason I asked Margo to let you go is 'cause Simon told me to. Henry: Simon? Katie: Yes. Henry: So what -- what he thinks -- it still matters to you? Katie: I don't know. Maybe it does. Maybe he just caught me at a weak moment. Henry: Yeah, but so you're, uh -- you're glad that he's back? You're happy that he's here? Katie: Simon was a very important part of my life. Yes, okay? Yes, it's nice to not feel so alone. Henry: Well, I'm -- I'm glad that you feel that way. I really am. I mean, Brad won't be glad about it -- Katie: Oh, God! When are you gonna stop? Brad is dead, Henry. He's gone. If you want to keep pretending that you're palling around with him, that's fine, but I don't want to hear about it! Henry: But Katie -- Katie: No! It's not real, and it's not healthy. So please, just stop. Just leave it alone. Leave me alone. |
