Henry catches Brad and Katie in their "baby-making project" in the elevator, and decides he needs to try to talk Katie out of it.  It looks like it might be beginning to sink in.  Unfortunately, Vienna is not on his side.

Today’s episode was directed by Jennifer Pepperman and written by Susan Dansby.

[ Elevator dings ]

Henry: Whoa! Have you no shame?

Katie: Henry!

Henry: Have you no decency? Have you no coats?

Katie: You said no one would see us.

Henry: The whole lobby saw you. Poor pepper will need puppy therapy after this. What were you thinking?

Brad: Well, you know we're trying to make a baby.

Henry: As a spectator sport?

Brad: Look, what is the big deal? You two used to be married. I mean, haven't you seen Katie naked before?

[ Henry sighs ]

Brad: You have seen Katie naked before, right?

Katie: Brad, go to work!

Brad: I'd rather go to your place.

Henry: Okay, that's it. Everybody out!

Katie: Brad, I will see you later.

Brad: Okay.

Katie: Brad. I'm sorry you had to see that. But you can't tell me that you and Vienna have never done it in an elevator.

Henry: I can tell you that Vienna and I have never gotten

caught doing it in the elevator. Let's go. Come on.

Katie: Where?

Henry: I'm going to take you and pepper for a walk. Looks like you could both use some more training. That way.

Henry: You remember why I divorced you?

Katie: Henry --

Henry: I was in love with you, but you were in love with Mike. And I loved you too much to let you settle for less than everything.

Katie: And you are very sweet.

Henry: Uh-huh. Now I feel like an idiot. I feel like I got ripped off. I really do because you were the best thing in my life, up to that point, and I let you go, Katie. And for what? For what? So you can settle for sex instead of love? For brad instead of jack, really? For a baby instead of a house full of kids?

Katie: Well, what do you want me to do?

Henry: I want you to be happy, that's what! And, admit it, you're not!

Katie: Okay, I may not be happy, but I will be when I have a little baby.

Henry: With brad?

Katie: Brad is just a sperm donor.

Henry: He's falling for you, Katie.

Katie: He is not!

Henry: Easy. Easy. Really? Have you ever been in love with you? I have. And I know the signs. You got to figure out what you want here, sweetheart.

Katie: I know what I want. I want jack, but I want a baby, too.

Henry: Then have them both.

Katie: You really think brad loves me?

Henry: You really think brad is a great guy?

Katie: I want a baby.

Henry: Then call jack, will you? He loves you.

Katie: I know.

Henry: You know? Did you talk to him?

Katie: He brought me a tree, how could I not love him?

Henry: Oh, then you got to go for it.

Katie: Yeah, but the second I take jack back, I'll turn around and he'll be knocking down Carly's door.

Vienna: So, do you have all your notes? Are you clear on everything?

Brad: Katie's going to blown away, Vienna. Thank you.

Vienna: Yeah, well just give my friend her new year's baby! Oh, Henry! Oh, hello, pepper, my baby! I love you so much!

Henry: I love you, too.

Vienna: Hi.

Henry: This has got to stop.

Henry: Katie loves jack, sweetheart.

Vienna: Yes. And jack broke her heart. And brad, he will unbreak it by giving her a little, beautiful baby.

Henry: But brad is brad.

Vienna: Yeah, and people can change. Like me. I wanted a baby, you gave me a puppy, and now I love pepper!

Henry: Brad is -- his IQ if far less than pepper, and he's not half as cute!

Vienna: No, but Katie will love brad when he gives her a little puppy -- I mean, a child.

Henry: Katie loves jack!

Vienna: Well, jack loves the mother of his litter! And Katie will love the father of hers.

Henry: Brad's in lust and Katie wants jack. And it shouldn't fall on the shoulders of some poor infant to make everything right. Yes?

Vienna: Yes. Except that --

Henry: Vienna --

Vienna: Brad's in love, not lust. And Katie must at least be a little bit in love, otherwise she wouldn't have been having so much fun making babies.

Henry: I'm never going to convince you, am I?

Vienna: No. But although you're wrong, I'll still love you.

Henry: Thank you.

Vienna: And you are going to be a wonderful father some day.

Henry: Some day -- far, far away.

Vienna: Yes.

Henry: Yes?
