Monday, December 29, 2008 Henry finally finds out why his little sister Maddie is back in town. It's not to visit him, it's to get Casey back. Unfortunately for Maddie, Casey's more interested in his new friendship with Alison. Henry is afraid Maddie will get hurt again, and it turns out he's right. Transcripts from TVMegasite Casey: She's back. Henry: It's great, isn't it? Did I hear him say he'll see you later? Maddie: He's coming to the party. Henry: Finally. Maddie: What? Henry: Well, I was just wondering why you suddenly showed up on my doorstep. And now I know. You want casey back, don't you? Maddie: What do you think of the color? Henry: I don't know if it goes with the flushed cheeks you got when I asked you about casey. Yes or no, maddie. Is he the reason you came back? Maddie: Can't I visit my brother without having my motives analyzed to death? Henry: No. Not when it's obvious you didn't come back to visit me. Maddie: Okay, it's true. I wanted to see casey too. Henry: Why? Maddie: I dated the guy for over a year. Henry: And you stopped dating him a long time ago. Why revisit that? Maddie: What do you have against him, anyway? Henry: Do you want a list? Maddie: Forget it. Henry: No, he's trouble, maddie. And he's going nowhere fast. Maddie: Just because the guy did time doesn't mean his life is over. Henry: I don't see signs of him jump-starting it anytime soon. Maddie: Did you take the world by storm when you were his age? Henry: I'm just -- you deserve someone who's worthy of you. And he has changed. He's not the same person he was. Maddie: Neither am I. Henry: Somehow, I think that freshman orientation is a little less taxing on the soul than life behind bars. Maddie: I hope that wasn't supposed to be funny. Henry: Look, it's a new year, okay? Why not throw out the old once and for all and start fresh? Maddie: Who says I can't start fresh with casey? Henry: How? How, maddie? By quitting school and giving up your dreams? By coming back here and earning change at the save-n- shop? Come on! Maddie: You don't understand. Henry: Yes, I do understand, actually. I do, because I wasted a lot of my time in a dead-end relationship, waiting for someone to be who I needed them to be. Maddie: You mean katie. Henry: And it wasn't until I stopped waiting and moved on that things began to happen. And look at me. Look at me now. I have a wonderful woman who loves me as much as I love her. I own a diner, I have a stake in this nightclub. My bestseller is about to end on every bookshelf in america. Maddie: And I'm happy for you. But being with casey isn't going to stop me from pursuing my dreams. Look, I know you don't trust him because he was an ex-con but -- Henry: You think that's what it is? Maddie: What else? Henry: He broke your heart, maddie! Have you forgotten that? Because I haven'T. And I'll be damned if I'm going to stand around and watch him do it to you again.
Henry: If casey hadn't left you never would have gone to college. Now don't trade that for an ex-con who already hurt you once and probably will hurt you again. Maddie: Like you hurt vienna? You guys were going to get married, but you bailed on the wedding. And she could have written you off then and there, but she didn'T. And because she didn't, you turned into the man she always knew you could be. That's what I want to do for casey. Henry: What does he want to do for you? That's what I thought. Maddie: Look, can't you just give us the same chance that vienna gave you, to make things right? Henry: Fine. Fine. I will give it a shot. If he hurts you though, just a little bit -- Maddie: He won'T.
Henry: You sure he's the right guy for you? Maddie: I am. Henry: Then I hope tonight is everything you want it to be. Maddie: Well, I promise I'll give you all the juicy details when you and vienna get back from your romantic getaway. Henry: Okay, not too many details, please, all right? Maddie: Happy new year, henry. Henry: Come here, happy new year. Maddie: It will be. I know it. |
