I attended the As the World Turns Fan Club
for the 6th year in a row and it still hasn't gotten old! Well except for
the standing in line part. The only "long" line I waited in was
Trent's, other than that I went for the shorter ones. With a sold-out
crowd of over 500 people, it was impossible to see everyone in the few short
hours we had. The event held at
the Marriott Marquis at Times Square in New York City, and celebrated the 50th
anniversary of the show.
For the 3rd year in a row Kendra and I
passed out Henry tattoos designed by Sunny. Here are a few examples:
The luncheon commenced with the usual delicious lunch and
raffle for ATWT memorabilia. For the second year we were treated to the
yearly blooper reel, along with some ATWT promos. Finally it was time to
introduce the actors! As usual the emcees were Martha Byrne (Lily) and
Michael Park (Jack). They started out introducing some of the past actors
on the show, including Patricia Bruder (Ellen), Rosemary Prinz (Penny Hughes),
Lisa Brown (Iva), and John James (Rick Decker). Then the current actors
were introduced, in alphabetical order. As usual our Trent received one of
the largest ovations of the day!
