Martinis with Henry This might have been the last Martinis with Henry, but it was definitely the best and the biggest! We had about 110 fans in attendance, about twice the usual number. And we had a record turnout of actors - they just kept coming in! In addition to the guest of honor, Trent, the following 15 actors attended Martinis: Anne
Sayre (Mitzi) So the fan:actor ratio was about 7:1, much better odds than at the luncheon! Hopefully everyone got a chance to chat with some of their favorite actors The theme this year was "Last call!" We had a list of specialty martinis named after some of our favorite Oakdalians (click on the list below to see a larger version). I tried the Viennatini, the Katietini, the Bloody Stenbeck, and the Maddietini, and all were yummy! We also had a crossword puzzle. Click on the image on the left for a blank one, and click on the image on the right if you want to see the answers. We had a couple of beautiful banners, one with the "Last Call" logo on the railing as you go up the stairs to the back room: The other one was hung on the railing in the front room, which you could see from the back room: We had three party gifts this year that everyone got to take home with them: our usual shot glass (this time a shooter style), a water bottle, and a bag (which coincidentally was also the gift at the Luncheon). We had a beautiful cake in the shape of a martini with a globe behind it. It was marble with fudge filling. In the photo on the right you can see the display about Trent's "Run for the Wild" to benefit the Wildlife Conservation Society. Cutting the cake: small pieces so everyone got a chance to taste it (I hope!). Our gift for Trent this year was a one-of-a-kind sculpture created by world-renowned glass artist Hans Godo Frabel, in the shape of the tragedy/comedy masks: Here are some of our actor guests:
Kendra and I couldn't resist getting photos with some of our favorite actors:

Another fun feature this year was a slideshow of photos playing on all of the TVs in the rooms. You can see it in these photos of the room: That's Tom Pelphrey (Mick) in the blue plaid shirt below. I hope he was drinking a Bloody Stenbeck! There were a lot of photos being taken! One last photo of the party:
It was a crazy whirlwind of a day. Thanks to all of the actors and fans for coming and making it such a great time for everyone! I don't know what the future holds, but I hope we can all get together again to celebrate the next phase in Trent's career!
