Misalliance Pre-Show Reception for Trent's Fans
Before Trent left to prepare for the show we presented him with a gift bag with some Henry-themed gifts from the Fan Club. The first thing he pulled out of the bag was a faux contract from P&G that Kendra and I put together. He loved it and read a few lines to the attentive crowd. Next Trent opened a baby toy for Sage. He told us that the baby who plays Sage deserves an Emmy! She took to him right away. There was a scene when Jack came home and found Sage with Henry, and after Henry handed her back to Jack they were going to add sound of a baby crying. Well the baby really did cry when Trent handed her to Michael Park, so he turned at the door and ad-libbed, "You see?" The other gifts included a set of walkie-talkies and a magnifying glass with the logo "Earlybird Surveillance" (for Henry the P.I./electronics wiz), and a gift certificate to a book store (for the former Ace Reporter). The gift bag was a hit, Trent was very grateful. After Trent left to get ready for the 2 pm performance, the fans hung out and ate and talked. Peyton stayed to talk to the fans until showtime. Kendra and I went to our seats, in the balcony practically on top of the stage! The set was beautiful, very bright and colorful (see photos from the show). The lights went down and we heard the unmistakable sound of Trent's voice giving the obligatory speech about cell phones, pagers, and candy wrappers, only in a very cute, proper British way. The show began and it was excellent! Very smart and witty, with great performances by all of the actors (for reviews and more details on the show, see the Misalliance page). The reception was a hit and the show was wonderful. Many thanks to everyone at Center Stage for making this happen, to Trent for taking time to be with his fans and being a wonderful host, and to all the fans who came to the reception. Trent has many exciting projects in his future, so maybe we can do this again!
